You've been warned Wink

So, we know Glenn is currently alive but do we think he's going to die getting his head caved in by Negan like in the comics?

(All other spoilery topics welcome! I have difficulty keeping quiet on the other thread.)

Yep, H's death Beyond. I think Sasha has taken her storyline in relation to Abe.

I think we'll see walker Carol eventually.

Yep i'm reckoning shes now sasha too

Morgan is on borrowed time already too, isnt he...

ElderlyKoreanLady · 02/03/2016 16:58

Can't quite remember when Morgan died in the comics but I do think we're past it.

Then again, comic Carol has been dead since the prison and she's still going strong.

Btw, I've asked HQ to edit the thread title slightly. Probably won't make a difference but the spoilers I meant for this thread were spoilers from the comic rather than "here's what's definitely happening in the episode that hasn't aired yet". Smile

I think it was only recent-ish tv wise - when the wall came down?

ElderlyKoreanLady · 02/03/2016 17:23

Just checked. Morgan is bitten in book 7 when the wall caves through sheer walker weight. They amputate his arm but he dies from blood loss. The condensed storyline means had they stuck to his comic death, he'd have been bitten in the mid season finale and probably died either that episode or the mid season premiere. So yep, just about on borrowed time too.

I've not read past the 1st compendium of comics (where they leave prison) but can i speculate about the Glenn/Negan storyline?

I think that as Glenn saw the polaroids of the people with their faces bashed in, it'll be Maggie that dies as he's going to know whats coming. Also it'll be karma for him finally killing someone.

Does anyone know where I can download the comics? I cannot justify another £30 on buying the next compendium :(

DontOpenDeadInside · 08/03/2016 16:21

ElderlyKoreanLady, just seen your reply on the other thread.

I think the photos are victims of Negan (what he does to Glenn in the comics)

ElderlyKoreanLady · 08/03/2016 16:33

Aah, you think they were Lucille victims! Quite obvious now I think on it Grin (I'm ill so quite slow today!)

I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of Maggie...they're going to have a surplus baby if they don't.

I buy these...
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/163215451X/ref=cm_sw_r_em_awd_F1V3wbB9RDPKK

I don't think they're the compendiums though, are they? They're black & white, which I hadn't expected, but I was committed once I'd started. Are the individual comics and compendiums in black & white too?

OP posts:
DontOpenDeadInside · 08/03/2016 16:49

Just googled and yes Lucille lol.

The compendium 1 is comic # 1-48. I think it is b&w, can't remember now. If u are paying nearly £20 a time for 12 comics, you'd be better off buying the compendiums so you're getting 48 comics for £30.

DontOpenDeadInside · 08/03/2016 16:53

Do you think they'd dare make Maggie have a miscarriage? I don't think they'll want another baby on set.
Maybe if Glenn dies, then she loses the baby she'll go crazy/do a rick?
I do hope its neither Glenn or Maggie though, its nice that theres a bit love in the show.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 08/03/2016 17:11

No, I don't think they'd kill off the baby without also killing off Maggie. I'm not sure if they've kept Judith alive for a reason but if it has to be one or the other (I agree that that's probably better in terms of on-set practicalities) then it'll be less visually traumatic for Glenn & Maggie's baby to be written out of the story with Maggie and have Glenn continue with Maggie's storyline.

Well I'm loving this thread. I have to sit on my hands to read the other one.

I think Maggie might die. The actress has just done a horror film so she might have left TWD.

I got the photos straight away. Lucille victims. Eurgh.

..the shock factor of the TV series showing a long termer, who has a big emotional connection with viewers, as a walker would really be shocking.

Oh my god. I need to buy these compendiums!

ElderlyKoreanLady · 08/03/2016 22:48

Welcome Adorabelle Grin it gets very hard not spoiling things on the other thread for people who want nothing to do with the comics!

Hello All. Great thread.

I think Glenn may die in the tv show, true to the comic books. Am I the only one sick of the Maggie-Glenn dyad (now triad, with the baby)?

When he knifed all of those people on the head on the show, his first "people kills", I think he passed into a terrible realm in his mind they will not be able to maintain on the show.

I feel the same way about Carol's smoking-it feels like a harbinger of her doom.

And is anyone else impressed by how much tv Heath looks like his comic character? Jesus, on the other hand, is more grizzled in the books.

PitilessYank · 09/03/2016 02:52

in the head, not on the head

Also, will Jesus be gay on the show like on the books? I hope so. It irritates me that some shows seem to limit the number of gay characters arbitrarily.

I'd actually welcome Maggie's death. I think it would finally toughen Glenn up a bit. How in the world has he gotten this far before killing anyone...he's been through too much for that. I also think that on-screen, Maggie has been the weaker character of the 2. Though she lives on in the comics, when has a purely political character ever played out well on screen?

I think they'll stick true to Jesus's sexuality. And I don't think that'll dampen people's desire at all...Daryl seems for all intents and purposes to be asexual as far as we know. Whenever he's been close to a woman, there's always been the "is this just sisterly/motherly" question. People still love him.

I think it's going to be Glenn. Too much foreshadowing now. They seem to be setting Maggie up for Hilltop.
