So excited. It seems to have been a long time !

I knew nothing and sat like this for some time afterwards, kept hoping something would happen & make it not so.

I knew the actor was leaving but didn't know how it would be written or when it would happen. I assumed it would be end of series. It actually gave me nightmares!!

you know the actor called someone's mum after they tweeted about how upset she was? He was all "oh, I'm sorry, DM me your mum's number".

can you imagine how funny it would be to get that call!

I have watched the subsequent episode where Alicia goes to the hospital and finds out his call to her was to bollock her for stealing another client. I am kind of dreading watching anymore if that makes sense! Is it still good without him?

I don't have a crush but it would be so fun to have a chat with someone like that, especially to talk through their reaction to the audience reaction, you know?

you know Christine Baranski was in town at the same time as Meryl Streep once so my friends and I were all going "OMD what if we bumped into them in a bar or something?" Can you imagine the fangirling!! I'd want to sweep them both into big squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezy hugs and then I'd get arrested (and rightly so).

some friends have met Meryl Streep and I gather she was a delight but that's a whole other story.

is it still good - yes. Well, season 6 is very good and we have consolations - David Hyde Pierce comes along to play a really super character with his usual brilliance - but I'm not sure how much longer the show can go on. Of course, US drama packs in more than 20 shows per season so they have already given us 100s of great episodes.

I love the idea of Alicia having a position of massive political power but I suppose it's not possible for her to be Supreme Court judge or summat (though Diane still could?)

Have just caught up with the first episode and really enjoyed it. Am really looking forward to the Eli/ Ruth developments.

Luca looks like she will be a good addition too.

Kitty - did you have any thoughts on why Alicia needs a Chief of Staff? I know being the wife of a VP would involve that, but being the wife of a Governor running for VP - less obvious.

and she's been the wife of a governor for ages and didn't need staff so I'm confused.

It's the last season that the creators will do. The tv production company could continue with new writers.

I cannot remember why Alicia had to "go it alone". I've seen every episode and obviously don't remember the relevant bits!

Lorelei not sure why as a candidate she would need a chief of staff- even Clare underwood in house of cards doesn't get one until he is VP.

I was basing it on the number of words in each episode title! Series one, one word, series two, two words etc until series four when it goes back down to three, two, one so seventh series would be the last. I know it makes me sound nuts but I definitely read this online somewhere!

Alicia finally had to leave the firm because Diane recruited that Reese guy as their biggest client and he said that post-election stuff, Alicia could not be associated with the firm as it would be a reputational problem - he'd take his business elsewhere if she was linked to them.

Cary looked majorly pissed off in that episode. I can't remember why Diane and Alicia fell out. Was it something to do with the severance package?

I am liking Lucca she seems sassy and a good character.

I did somehow miss Kalinda. Mainly as Cary looked so lost.

I enjoyed this evening's episode - a return to form. Alicia's bailcourt side kick is growing on me.

Yes, Lucca is really good.
Can't say I've much interest in Alicia's love life but I guess that's where we're heading. I prefer watching her kick ass. It will be good if it brings down Peter's bid.

Now mildly curious to watch "it follows".

Yes a great episode. Back in gear after a slow start.
Good to have Alicia back in court. Found that Artist/ Mom really annoying though. FFS you would have to be weird to photograph your kids naked and put them in a public exhibition.
