So excited. It seems to have been a long time !

OP posts:

TooMuchMNTime because Kurt was humiliated on the stand as his judgement was called into question by his student. (And maybe his honesty too as he was later married to Diane).

I felt it was all a bit incestuous, Alicia, her husband, Diane, her husband, Alicia's boyfriend, and yes ILikeToClean Luca is far too invested in Alicia and Jason's relationship!

I've liked his series, can't believe it's ending (crying into tea cup

TooMuchMNTime · 17/06/2016 01:41

Italian, I have a close relative who has to do the expert witness thing
Of course others will contradict what you say
And why on earth would Diane cry over that? Well the Diane I've been watching certainly wouldn't.
Alicia running after Jason is also pathetic
And if Geneva Pine really is getting back at Peter, I'm thinking WTAF have they done t the women?

RooftopCat · 17/06/2016 21:08

Disappointing episode.
So is Alicia a partner now? What is Cary so pissed off about? All these allegations about Peter - it all seems so rushed.
The office renovations was a farce - you wouldn't have builders knocking down walls & ceilings like that with the office workers still wandering around. And David Lee not hearing any of it - ridiculous.
I have started watching from Season One again - am noticing the wig/forehead all the time now!

shamelessmailhack · 18/06/2016 16:38

The wig gets uglier every year. Around season 2 she had quite a nice one. It was sort of layered and bouncy. It looks ridiculous now.

Luca is annoying because she seems to have no life of her own. Kalinda was always there for Alicia during the Will days, but at least she had her own storylines too. She wasn't just a cheerleader.

I can never bring myself to care about Cary. The actor will always be smug Logan from the Gilmore Girls to me.

HalleLouja · 20/06/2016 10:36

I felt sorry for Cary. Well someone had to.

Am really sad its going to be over from next week. Let's hope they air the new show in the UK and start to give Lucca more of a story.

Does the fact that the verdict has come through mean that there is no chance to take the plea bargain?

scarlets · 20/06/2016 10:56

I think the plea bargain is off the table now that the jury is in. I think that Peter returning to prison would bring it full circle quite nicely although it could mean that Chris Noth won't be in the spinoff.

HalleLouja · 20/06/2016 11:16

Alicia isn't in the spin off either I believe.

Italiangreyhound · 20/06/2016 21:15

TooMuchMNTime Are you criticizing the story line or my analysis of it?

I am not an expert on the law Grin. I just watched the episode and that is what I thought was the reason for Diane crying, her man had been made to look a fool on the stand (because she got him to go on the stand).

Why do you think Diane was crying?

TooMuchMNTime · 20/06/2016 21:49

Italian, Im saying the storyline would make no sense.

But...I should probably bow out till next ep...suffice to say I was so baffled by this episode and bored at work I looked up spoilers so I can't say anything else really!

I bet we will welcome the distraction from the EU though!

Italiangreyhound · 20/06/2016 22:28

TooMuchMNTime PHEW, I can't take criticism... flounces off....

I just can't believe it is ending. I want to see it all from the start, Eli, Becca, that woman from Ugly Betty, Will, the full works!

TooMuchMNTime · 20/06/2016 22:32

Italian, which woman from Ugly Betty? Don't forget Eli had some level of romance with both of them Grin

HalleLouja · 21/06/2016 10:36

Eli seemed to have a thing for ex-UB stars. Not that I am over-invested oh no.

youngestisapsycho · 21/06/2016 10:41

I cant wait for Thursday, although I've heard its a pretty crap finale.... will have to wait and see!

Italiangreyhound · 21/06/2016 21:03

TooMuchMNTime - America Ferrera.

SueTrinder · 23/06/2016 22:11

Do you know I didn't miss Will after he died but now I do. Jason was shite wasn't he?

TooMuchMNTime · 23/06/2016 22:18

ye gads
i actually forgot to watch it on account of the Breferendum

maybe it's on catch up already....

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 23/06/2016 22:30

OMG no-one here!

What a frustrating ending, Diane slapped Alicia Shock

Is Alicia going to stick with Peter ffs, surely not.

RNBrie · 23/06/2016 22:32

She's going to go it alone. Divorce Peter and run for Congress or something. I'm glad she didn't end up with Jason, it would never have worked.

TooMuchMNTime · 23/06/2016 22:37

okay I've got a headache after a dentist visit so can't face watching it
but I did look up the ending in advance and listened to a podcast about it so I hope you won't mind me chiming in
I was pretty horrified because it sounds like all they did was set up Diane and Alicia to look their careers didn't matter becuase of their menfolk

having brought that character in that no one remembered - the lawyer who told Alicia she got divorced - it feels like a message that women shouldn't have fulfilling friendships and professional lives

Do I want to watch it ? It sounds like it was going to be dire any way. I didn't watch seven seasons of a woman like the wonderful Ms Lockhart only to have her fall to bits over man stuff. Gah.

SueTrinder · 23/06/2016 22:37

Diane slapping Alicia was a reference to the first episode where Alicia slapped Peter. Did you notice she had the same hair as well (but a much better suit)? Feel like the entire last series was designed to get them to the same place as they started with a few subtle changes. humpf.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 23/06/2016 22:55

Yes, too much emphasis on agonising over the men.

No to Jason, sloppy wuss.

Thanks for that Sue, I would never have remembered something that far back.

Probably need to watch it all again from the beginning Grin

I second Humpf!

HalleLouja · 23/06/2016 23:02

I liked the bits with Will. He is in a different league to Jason. I still miss Finn. He and Alicia had chemistry.

I thought they might have made it a longer episode to say goodbye. I also thought Peter would go to prison.

Eli was wheeling and dealing until the end. I will miss him most.

GettingScaredNow · 24/06/2016 00:27

I miss the good wife already!!

I felt quite sad for her at the end.

Eli was my favourite!! And his daughter. I will miss them

Italiangreyhound · 24/06/2016 00:33

ToomuchMNtime - what??? "having brought that character in that no one remembered - the lawyer who told Alicia she got divorced - it feels like a message that women shouldn't have fulfilling friendships and professional lives"

Trills · 24/06/2016 00:34

I have been massively out of sync most of this season so have not joined you but HI!
