So excited. It seems to have been a long time !

I thought the whole thing was trying to show that there is a conspiracy against Peter...

TooMuchMNTime · 10/06/2016 10:49

Oh
Who would be behind a conspiracy or did I miss that too?
I also found Alicia and Jason horrible to watch. None of it made any sense to me. Also where has Cary gone? He was wearing a suit with no tie in the bar so I guess he is working somewhere?

youngestisapsycho · 10/06/2016 11:10

Yes, Jason went back to that woman who had contaminated loads of crime scenes? and said something along the lines of who told you to tell me it was Peter... or something like that? I'm a bit confused too!

TooMuchMNTime · 10/06/2016 11:31

Thanks
I think it's daft to introduce new storylines with two episodes left.
Just realised the last one will be on referendum night will it? I wonder if they will delay it.

MaybeDoctor · 10/06/2016 11:31

I think it should have ended with her getting the States Attorney role and Peter having to stand by on the sidelines.

It feels like a bit of a damp squib now - they will get divorced and Alicia will do...what?

youngestisapsycho · 10/06/2016 11:43

Did they know it would be the last one when they filmed? Will it end all cleared up, or on a cliffhanger?

TooMuchMNTime · 10/06/2016 12:03

Maybe, agree. Youngest, yes, I was in the US when all the interviews and announcement happened and it was always known that the current writers wouldn't continue even if new ones did.

I have a feeling it's going to be a horrible damp squib and all about Jason or something. The Hward and Jackie thing is nuts, I mean good for a laugh at first but not sure what the point was of any of yesterday's episode.

TooMuchMNTime · 10/06/2016 12:06

Ps actually youngest, when you say all cleared up, which bits?
I have got really confused with the Peter legal stuff but I also don't care. I want a good outcome fir Alicia but I don't see going with Jason as part of that.

youngestisapsycho · 10/06/2016 12:19

I just meant does it end with a proper ending, not a cliff hanger....

TooMuchMNTime · 10/06/2016 14:03

Oh I see
Yes I would think so, there was a big fuss about it ending so I don't think they'd have a cliff hanger
I did hear rumours about a spin off but pretty sure they were just rumours
I'd like to see Diane become a Supreme Court Judge, that would make a great show.

youngestisapsycho · 10/06/2016 14:13

I saw somewhere a rumour about a show with Diane and Luca?

scarlets · 10/06/2016 14:14

It looks as if the scientist was being paid to tamper with evidence relating to various crimes, with a view to implicating Peter. I guess we'll find out who was behind it during one of the next two episodes. At least this story allows Michael J Fox's character to return (yay!).

Given that there is likely to be a spinoff series with Diane and Lucca, minus Alicia, imo Alicia will head off with Jason, and live a more itinerant lifestyle. It's not the kick-ass ending I wanted for her but obviously the writers thought that Jason would be popular with viewers.

Last nights ep had that "wrapping up" feeling - Grace off to college, Zach moving abroad, Diane content, Jackie and Howard married, Marissa attending law school, the Florricks divorcing amicably. So, I fear that the next two episodes will feature Smug Jason heavily, with very little of the excellent ensemble other than at the trial.

scarlets · 10/06/2016 14:19

Cross post - there's definitely a CBS spin off, due to air in the US next spring. It's possible that JM might make a cameo appearance.

northender · 10/06/2016 14:48

The trailer on More4 which was shown after the episode a couple of weeks ago, made the final few episodes look anything but damp sqibbish. The big disappointment for me too has been Jason & Alicia, no chemistry at all.

TooMuchMNTime · 10/06/2016 18:53

Oh I hope we get the spin off in the uk!

Travelledtheworld · 10/06/2016 19:25

I enjoyed last night but I get the feeling something horrible is going to happen and so I didn't watch all of the episode.
Wanted to slap Zach for being such a dickhead, and his smart arse girlfriend.....

Saving for a quiet night when I am alone and have some wine.....

TooMuchMNTime · 11/06/2016 00:50

That's interesting
You felt that because it was so disjointed I guess? Like discordant notes in a horror film?

vjg13 · 11/06/2016 07:55

Are there 2 more episodes left now?

FranHastings · 11/06/2016 10:54

I have not enjoyed this last season at all really. Alicia and Jason makes my skin crawl. Zach's wrap up ending was poor. How does Jason make contacts for his business if he's buggering off every year? Why would Alicia throw Jackie that party when she hates her, she's divorcing her son and any would she host it in her apartment. All I could think at the end was "wtf Peter? You're not even going to help her with the dishes?". Weird episode.

I want an Eli and Marissa spin off, but I fear I will be sadly disappointed.

TooMuchMNTime · 11/06/2016 20:30

yes the party hosting made no sense to me either. I think it was probably a deliberate ploy by the scriptwriter to get everyone in the same room for a wrap up on things that frankly I didn't even care about. Zach could have just continued in college as normal, would any viewer have noticed I wonder?

I haven't enjoyed this season really - I think bail court was interesting, the potential for a solid friendship with Luca, but really it's been rubbish. It reminds me a bit of the last series of Damages which went quite off track but it wasn't this bad.

scarlets · 11/06/2016 20:45

Yep, agree about Damages.

Hosting the party - maybe it was because she had agreed to behave as if they were happily married until after the trial.

Groovee · 12/06/2016 23:27

I've struggled with this series!

RooftopCat · 13/06/2016 18:42

I don't understand the all-female partner firm thing and Diane wandering around with the suggested letter head Lockhart, Florrick and associates.
Last time Alicia became a partner she had to pay in $600k which she got from Peter. Not long ago she was having trouble paying the utility bills and had to hire smug Jason at knock down rates. So how is she going to afford to be a named partner now?
I think Jason will be exposed as a sociopath which was suggested in an earlier episode.

TooMuchMNTime · 16/06/2016 21:59

More confusion
Why was Diane crying and apologising to Kurt?

ILikeToClean · 16/06/2016 23:01

Yes I wondered that! But was so fascinated as ever by Alicia's wig and how the top half of her forehead doesn't move as the wig cap is covering any lines! There seems to be too much to cover in the last episode. Not sure if it will be a satisfactory ending. And isn't Luca far too invested in Alicia and Jason's relationship?!
