Roger Allam is indeed fab. Love him in Cabin Pressure too!

Yes indeed - he has great range - equally good in CP and in Shakespeare at the Globe.

I love his work in 'Sarah and duck'

He's got such a lovely voice. I loveitin Cabin Pressure when his voice is described as sounding like 'Stephen Fry's favourite uncle"

In Endeavour, I always think that Roger Allam's eyes are really kind eyes. Yet there's nothing of that when he's playing more aggressive characters. It must be down to excellent acting.

Think the Cable Street reference wasn't to a future TP book (yes, it's his best) but to the actual battle of Cable Street in London in the 30s. Enjoyed this series of Endeavour.

This has grown on me with every episode. Young Morse, Thursday, the 1960's setting.

Roger Allam is so good! I don't know anything else that Shaun Evans has acted in but was surprised when I heard he is in his mid 30's.

Shaun Evans was in a TV historic play about a "naughty" Duchess, he played the cruel husband and OMG he was amazing, so different from Morse. So bleeding sexy!!!!

I think he's one to watch .

But nothingwitty , he actually said Vimes of Cable Street!

Just caught up with the tiger. It's slightly far fetched that someone kept a tiger in a cage in the woods without anyone knowing about it. However, that aside, what a cracking episode, and the scene at the end when the tiger was shot had me on tenterhooks. Superb episode.
