SCD#7 - It's the Glittery Semi-Finals

I thought it was more the male pros that got involved with their celeb than the female ones. Kristina got around a bit, and Flavia split with Vincente to marry Jimi Mistry. But there was also Brendan and Natasha, Ali Bastian and her pro, Rachel Riley and Pasha, Kara and Artem.

Kara/Artem, Ali/Brian were all single to be fair. Rachel, Natasha and Brendan not so much.

And Flavia split with Vincent to shack up with Matt DiAngelo, she then split with him before she met Jimi (now happily married).

Gleb and Anita on ITT tonight. Anita's footwork is fine during training when she wears trainers and no high heels.
Her Salsa looked very good so hope it doesn't go pear shaped when she has to dance in her high heels on Saturday.

They showed a clip of Gleb dancing in a Russian version of SCD.
The pair danced in a lovely classical ballet style. Zoe said Gleb looked like Mr Darcy .

Anita has lost so much weight. She seems to glow with happiness when talking about dancing as well. I think she's fallen in love with dance.

The line has been crossed so many times on strictly, the producers must dread it happening every season

Nah I reckon they love it - all the gossip and publicity, tension on screen - it all probably makes for fabulous television!

digerd I agree about Anita and her high heels she needs to 'break them in' Kristina showed how to do it on ITT a few weeks ago. She better not be voted out because of shoes. She's so intelligent and not boastful I have a girl crush on her!

Though Len was on Chris Evans today and he said he liked A and G.

I think my consistently favourite styles are:

jive (if I can't have lindyhop)
paso
charleston

I think that's because most people can make them entertaining, even the not-so-good dancers. I love the classic ballroom styles, especially viennese waltz and foxtrot, but only when they're done well - I get bored when they're not. And I also love a good salsa, but again, it has to be done well for me to enjoy it.

I LOVE a good Argentine Tango, but there hasn't been a good one this season, I'm really disappointed.

I did notice recently how tiny Anita looked in training. Didn't realise she had lost weight.

Just put my alarm on for 6pm for ITT tonight. Zoe is always in a party mood and makes the hour very enjoyable.

It's really noticeable how Zoe and the other past contestants seem to have such fond memories of competing. There's an unspoken (and often spoken) feeling of longing to be back on the dance floor. It must be a great experience.

It was glitteryrollers who mentioned her weight I didn't Digerd but I noticed her face looked thin last night (she's normally slim enough IMO).

A whole hour tonight and it has improved considerably, do we reckon that's 'cos of our Zoe?? I liked the one with the 2 singers from Dave Arch's group and them singing nicely too at the end.

Yes, I'm sure you are right. I remember when Zoe was in it with Ian and thought she was very good. But how she demonstrates with Ian on ITT in those killer heels astonishes me.

Evening. An hour of ITT. yay! Scott Mills though. Booooooo!!!

Georgia is incrediably pretty. Like a porcelain doll. Always thought she was prettier than Michelle Keegan who seems to get all the press attention.

DH won't let me watch ITT. Boooooooooooooooo.

I am going to comb through the thread and watch all of the previous dances mentioned on YouTube instead.

On Sunday for the dance off will they get to choose which dance to do again?

They usually do the highest scoring of the two dances for a dance-off.

Georgia was ill Monday and Tuesday so they had little time to learn their 2 dances.
Anita has an oval, narrowish face while Katie's is more heart-shaped.

Not sure about Anton's Charleston - hope he pulls out all the stops on the night.
