Sam Seaborn or Josh Lyman?

Sam is the obvious one and is especially charming in his defence of Ainsley Hayes in season 2, but Josh is growing on me, despite his weird hair.

Toby and the cigar while CJ does the thing- yeah. There are times Toby is the one and times Sam is the one (although I can't get past the call girl) but Josh is mainly the one.

The Jackal- was trying to think of the name of the thing.

And then there is Danny- who I have a real soft spot for- if only he was a bit taller.

How have none of you yet mentioned Oliver Babish?!?! Funny, smart, wry, empathetic. :: sigh ::

Lulu I've noticed that a few of the guys are really short: Danny, Jed and Leo, while the women are quite tall.

Actually, Sam is short. I have been watching tonight.

I think Danny only seems short next to CJ.

I just re-watched the episode where Sesame Street comes to the White House and Big Bird sits next to CJ. Always makes me laugh. No dialogue necessary.

I def have a thing for Bruno Gianelli.

I didn't watch this when it was in but I am now on series 7.

I can never forgive Josh for ultimately preferring airhead Donna over Amy who was his intellectual equal. Don't think he can hack a relationship of intellectual equals.

Took me a while to forgive Bruno for going over the the Dark Side in the Vinick/Santos campaign. That was worse than him switching to support GWB in RL.

My shortlist for boys names was Leo, Sam, Joshua and Toby.

Josh won the name game, but Toby has my heart.

Don't think his insecurity ( and chauvinism, despite apparently impeccable liberal credentials) allowed him to cope with that. Can't help feeling J is an alter ego for Sirkin.

I am not a Donna fan at all. Don't like the character in any way.

Not an Abbey fan either.

CJ is great.

I agree about Donna - it always jarred that she had such a big role in the series - I would much rather have seen more of Margaret - she had good lines but her delivery of those lines made them really, really stand out. Donna on the other hand was a bit bland.

Ooh, polyhymnia hadn't thought of the Sorkin link - I think you are right!

I don't believe in her - intellectually or as a person. I find the character lacking in depth and unconvincing. Sorkin puts her in situations other assistants are not allowed and she is out of place and out of her depth. I never feel she has anything to her at all.

Abbey has depth but I don't like her.

Cant believe the donna hate though agree we should have had way more Margaret,she stole every scene she was in. Her explanation to Leo about being questioned by the secret servive over the calorie count of a raisin bran muffin makes me cry with laughter every single time.

Sam is quite pretty but I could imagine that Josh would be downright dirty in the sack.
