Sam is the obvious one and is especially charming in his defence of Ainsley Hayes in season 2, but Josh is growing on me, despite his weird hair.

C J is the best character.

Toby! Precisely because he is misanthropic and glum. I can't be dealing with All-American cheer. And I have a slight thing for Leo.

CJ is the best character. I want to be a mix of her and Tami Taylor from Friday Night Lights when I grow up.

There's no contest really. Sam's very pretty and sweet, but Josh has the whole tortured backstory where he's always looking for redemption and can't get close to anyone but really needs saving himself and... yeah, in real life he'd probably turn out to be an emotionally abusive fuckwit. But in West Wing World, somehow it works.

We're re-watching and currently on season 2. We're getting towards the end though which combines my favourite ever scene and a really sad storyline. It was the first episode I caught on tv and I remember it grabbed me straight away and I immediately got the first box set and so an obsession was born :D
Anyway, Josh every time but I'd want Sam as my best friend. I love Bartlett (and total Sheen fangirl) and want to be CJ when I grow up
