It's the only other female character that was featured really, unless it was the Italian lady stealing from the docks?

Or just someone new...

PitBlackwell · 03/12/2015 11:48

I thought whoever is in the box has an English accent, so it could be her.

I think she just hated Ariel because he is a psycho?

TheSpectreOfMorningtonCrescent · 03/12/2015 17:45

Late to the party, I didn't realise the nazi redneck woman was Karen from Will and Grace!
I'm trying to convince dd17 that rob lowe's past negates his loveliness.(I would though)

AlisonWunderland · 03/12/2015 17:50

I'm glad it's just not me who had no idea who was in crate!

I would have thought it would be easy to tell difference between Jamie and Ariel. Have they both met all the same people?

yetanotherdeskmove · 03/12/2015 18:38

I was really disappointed by last nights episode tbh. It just felt completely unfinished, it could have been the first episode of a new series. I felt it was twisted just to make loads of cliff hangers.

thunderbird69 · 03/12/2015 19:40

Just watched it - almost felt tearful when I realised Jamie wasn't going to get in! Would have been good if Arial had been shot by Leanne and then Jamie somehow got in.

tomatotoad · 03/12/2015 19:55

We loved it! Hope there's another series. I wonder if Jamie will cure rhonda's husband?

diddl · 03/12/2015 20:01

I thought that it was great.

It's been set up so,that there could be another series, I guess.

thunderbird69 · 03/12/2015 20:04

Not sure if I want another series. Could it be as good? This has been one of the best things I've watched in a long time.

tomatotoad · 04/12/2015 11:01

I loved Ariel's little smile at the end! When he was looking around at everyone I knew it was him - Jamie would have hugged Layla/Frankie/his Mum. Plus he called them freaks, which should have been a clue all along, as Jamie knew most of them well. A brilliant twist!

Jamie has to survive as he's part of the 'plan.'

diddl · 04/12/2015 11:15

When I was first watching I thought that the hair looked more like Ariel.

Well, it won't take long to find out that it's not Jamie I wouldn't have thought.

But where would another series go?

If it's all due to the grandmother wanting a blood bank, won't she be wanting to get rid of Ariel as he wasn't a match & she won't want to be feeding him unnecessarily?

Well there's no guarantee that any of her rellies are a match!

SoupDragon · 04/12/2015 12:45

There were enough loose ends for a second series to tie up I think.

There is the chance that they managed to knock the asteroid far enough off course that the impact wasn't as catastrophic as first thought.

The only bit I hated was the parting of the river. it just seemed too blatantly silly.

diddl · 04/12/2015 12:57

"it just seemed too blatantly silly."

Yes!

Hopefully it was caused by what was happening in the sky rather than Jamie?

tomatotoad · 04/12/2015 14:01

Ariel has the upper hand though, as he already knows that he's not a match and that his GM will dispose of him - but his GM doesn't know that he's Ariel.

BeyondThirty · 04/12/2015 14:58

But if ariel isnt a match, then jamie wont be either? Confused

howtorebuild · 04/12/2015 15:15

Nor Jamie's daughter. I think the Doctor will turn on her once he is safely supported by the other occupants.

diddl · 04/12/2015 15:25

Am I wrong in thinking that Ariel wasn't a match then?

Otherwise it's quite non sensical him sayinng that he would get FRankie as his GM would then have a supply?

I suppose that Layla might happen to be a match & therefore Frankie?

But most of the folks in the bunkerare unlikely to be a match, aren't they?Confused

howtorebuild · 04/12/2015 15:27

Maybe Jude and the twins matched?

Katz · 04/12/2015 15:49

I don't quiet get the need for it to be family blood, surely any donor with the same blood group would do, according to the giving blood website The distribution of the ABO groups in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is about 40% A, 46% O, 11% B and 4% AB. I assume she must be AB as this is the unusual but still reseaonably prevalent. Given that the grandma had loads of money and private detective at her disposal surely the better chance of success would be to hack into a blood bank, find the details of a donor and then kidnap them or offer them a place in the bunker rather than is king none of the family being suitable. Unless that's who's in the box - an insurance policy.

You me and the apocalypse
diddl · 04/12/2015 15:52

Ooh yes-who is in the box??

The girl who had the baby?

But then where's the baby?

Was it Ariel's?

SoupDragon · 04/12/2015 16:57

It wasn't that Ariel wasn't a match, he was "contaminated" or something. I can't remember the exact words.

SoupDragon · 04/12/2015 16:58

I don't think it's a simple as blood group, Katz,

slowdownyourneighbours · 04/12/2015 21:26

I thought it was something to do with the family blood - maybe around the 'son of God' idea - so not really a blood group issue. That's why Ariel isn't a match - he didn't inherit the 'son of God' stuff, but Jamie did.

I LOVED this show - surely there has to be a series 2??? The ending left me so Shock

thunderbird69 · 04/12/2015 22:40

I'm going to have to watch it all again and see what I missed.
I wonder if the writers even know who is in the crate?

caroldecker · 05/12/2015 19:12

Isn't the point that, in the end, it is better to die outside than live in that bunker with a lot of people who do not get on and not enough food?
