They seem so used to be entertained rather than taught.

Me! Watching with great interest.

ineedaholidaynow · 04/08/2015 21:22

Just started watching. DS(10) is watching too. Not impressed by some of the children

woodhill · 04/08/2015 21:22

yes interesting

TheAmyrlin · 04/08/2015 21:22

A 12 hour school day is nuts!

toddlersareeasier · 04/08/2015 21:24

Sophie was a spoilt toddler, wasn't she?

Philoslothy · 04/08/2015 21:25

I would be mortified if my children behaved like that in class and they are no Angels

toddlersareeasier · 04/08/2015 21:25

What a drama over a PE lesson! Pathetic!

minkychickwithpeachyknicks · 04/08/2015 21:26

Watching, know some of the students :)

Zhx3 · 04/08/2015 21:29

Poor Joe. That was me in school. Excelling academically, rubbish at PE. I'm still scarred by years of being the last to be picked shudder!

twirlypoo · 04/08/2015 21:31

I was cheering that boy on with the running. Sophie was a treasure wasn't she?! I went to boarding school and did quite long days once prep was added on - 12 hours is hardcore though!

noblegiraffe · 04/08/2015 21:31

I find the idea that the bright students might not get into the best universities if they don't pass PE is very interesting. That bright boy who struggled has clearly never experienced failure, nor has he ever been in a position where being fit is important.

woodhill · 04/08/2015 21:32

I liked Miss Hogg though, thought her approach was excellent.

toddlersareeasier · 04/08/2015 21:32

I thought Joe was ridiculous. I would have expected a 5 year old to be sobbed and be mollycoddled like that, not a teenager.

OP posts:
toddlersareeasier · 04/08/2015 21:33

God. 'To sob'.

OP posts:
woodhill · 04/08/2015 21:34

yes I think he could have moved a bit faster at the end.

mykidsmyworld · 04/08/2015 21:34

I think Sophie is intentionally acting out.

toddlersareeasier · 04/08/2015 21:35

Shut the fuck up, Sophie. Horrible child.

OP posts:
songbird · 04/08/2015 21:35

Oh god Sophie is a nightmare!

songbird · 04/08/2015 21:35

Yep completely showing off.

minkychickwithpeachyknicks · 04/08/2015 21:35

Miss Hogg is a fabulous teacher, sadly she has recently left.

toddlersareeasier · 04/08/2015 21:35

Oh, she's definitely playing for the cameras.

BrockAuLit · 04/08/2015 21:36

Sophie is doing herself an injustice. Obviously intelligent, but she needs to be taught some discipline and manners. She would get a proper talking to if she were my daughter.

Joe i hope will rise to the challenge and become good at PE. He doesn't need to be told that it's okay to be good at something at least; he needs to be told that he can be good at everything but some things will take more work than other things.

adrianna22 · 04/08/2015 21:36

This is why I will never be a teacher, especially at secondary school, I will just loose my cool with kids like Sophie..

Pipbin · 04/08/2015 21:36

I think there is something to be learned from this. I don't like the way there is no creativity in the classroom.

It's interesting what the teacher is saying about the children being disciplined by their family.
