I don't think it was inappropriate at all.

She was in danger of being badly hurt. I very much doubt she could stand in a doorway and not move and just cry. shed be hanging off her leg.

Kids in the kitchen is dangerous and surely a crying kid is better than a scalded one.

She got it. She got it straight away. don't underestimate a child's ability to understand.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/08/2015 13:13

Spot on Giles- she understood alright and it was appropriately delt with. She was a happier child for it as well.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/08/2015 13:13

Dealt

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2015 07:45

Giles - I know of children who cry and demand stuff. Was one dummy to go to bed with. Fine

Now 4 - one in mouth - one in each hand and a spare one and one teddy turned into 3 teddies

When will it end Hmm

Children need boundaries and consistency

No one likes Hearing their child cry - but crying won't kill a child and a lot of the time it's temper and a winge - not proper tears

Roll on 12hrs and tonight's episode :)

Woooo we all back for this week?

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2015 20:08

Oh yes rabbit :)

Parents say no. Then yes. No wonder 3yr confused

As usual not firm and do what they say and no boundaries

Slightly missing the point, but their house is lovely Grin

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:12

I've heard that term strong willed alot as a licence to not try, like the parent is already defeated.

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:12

I really like that swing in the garden. Smile

mrsdavidbowie · 04/08/2015 20:20

Omg. Why is she not on reins, hand held or not allowed in scooters?

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:23

They are holding hands. to be fair at 3 I would be doing markers. But I suppose they need her to take them seriously first.

Arkkorox · 04/08/2015 20:26

Am I being soft? I couldn't leave my child in that state for half an hour Confused

awaits reality check from parents of toddlers

mrsdavidbowie · 04/08/2015 20:27

Oh I could and did.

Arkkorox · 04/08/2015 20:28

My DD is only 8 months..... I have all this to come haha

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:29

I could Blush It is for the greater good tho.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2015 20:29

Have always thought stair gates too low and easy to cling over for 3/4yrs - which is obv dangerous

Love dog gates. Much taller then child ones and impossible for chicken to climb over

Not sure why K said good girl when she went out. She was climbing over gate /thrown dummy /having a strop

Not sure how that is being good

I think dad is going to struggle....

LadyPlumpington · 04/08/2015 20:31

DH and I have a fairly robust attitude to letting them scream, but that's a horrible way to put a child to bed who's never had to do it that way before. Poor dab, she sounded scared Sad

Mind you, DS1 is 4 and still gets into our bed sometimes every morning at 5.30 sharp

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:31

I wondered that Blondes anything but good.

Artandco · 04/08/2015 20:32

I'm not watching, but would never leave mine crying for half hour or use a baby gate to trap a 3 year old

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:33

I wonder if K will take the dummy day 3 she hates baby props.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2015 20:34

Agree 30mins too long. Prefer super nannies approach and go back in and put to bed. Even if takes 49 times lol

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/08/2015 20:35

Does sn do that if the child is still in the bedroom?

Pud2 · 04/08/2015 20:36

I'm shouting 'please' at the TV!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2015 20:37

Hmm. Not sure. Think she has had the odd stair gate

Children like to be given boundaries
