Married at first sight seems a crackpot idea. does it work as a prog. Or is it just a gimmick.?

The first couple seem happy at the wedding, not so sure the second couple are going to click as easily.

I'm far too invested in this, I'm willing them to be successful. Agree the first couple seem more likely to work.

The second couple just don't look right together

She doesn't look happy about it, more embarrassed, WTF have I done

He's hot I would give him a chance lol. She looks older than him

Emma looks devastated. She is not feeling it at all.

She does look quite a bit older than him.

You can feel her thinking "Oh god I've got to go home with him"
She looks like she would like to be sick.

Programmes like this bother me. The amount of fuss made about gay marriage 'making a mockery of the institution of marriage' and yet isn't this exactly what this programme is doing?

Same here for not being matched to my current DP as we're almost opposites but we're very happy ...

Yep, I agree, first couple look really pleased and/or up for it. Whereas second couple look very awkward and especially Kate. She looks disappointed and he isn't coming over very confident which I expect she's be attracted to. Interesting the experts thought Emma and ? were their best match.

I noticed kate last week talked about Jason as if she already knew him, you could tell she really wanted it to work, and had full faith in the processe

I'm watching and agree with pp that Emma seems least happy so far. I think her dh seems to realise this though so maybe it's not all bad!

James and Emily ARE similar but she doesn't fancy him, eh.

Kate and Jason seem very happy with each other so far. Not so sure about James and Emma, I don't think she's keen at all. But the wedding day itself must be so overwhelming, they may settle down and like each other more in the following weeks.

We're really enjoying this and are willing the couples to get on... kate and Jason seem really happy and look well suited.. All good. Not sure at all about emma and James.. She does look much older than him and I would have thought she'd want a manly, domineering sort, not a teddy bear... But we'll see.

Emma's lack of spark (ie disappointment!) must be painful for him..

I agree ingles she would seem happier with someone more domineering.

Also yes JohnFarleysRuskin I think he can sense her disappointment, and that's got to be tough.

I do think they have been matched to too simular personalitys. Both couples I think well come a cropper.

Yes sometimes you need people a bit opposite in personality to make a good team I guess.

Kate's husband reminds me in looks of some actor and it's bugging me who! Can't put my finger on it.
