Oh my god. You people weren't kidding about this mother. Horrible, bitter woman trying to live through her daughter. It made me laugh when she was trying to dress like a teenager. Hideous!

Do people usually take their mother on their hen do? The poor bride didn't seem to have many friends and was being totally controlled by her mum and new husband.

The MIL had decided that she wasn't going to like the dress from the get go. I didn't see her as being on her daughter's side one bit.

The bride seemed worried abut upsetting the apple cart with both her mum and the knob head she was marrying.

Still, the actual wedding still wasn't as bad as the cruise ship one.

Its just at MN that people like to suggest a daughter wanting her mum in her life isn't the done thing.

Glad it's normal - my mum and other female relatives came on mine! It was the olden days though, so we just went for a meal and drinks.

Is it just on MN that everyone has loads of friends too? The bride had a small group of close friends by the looks of it - again, that's normal isn't it?

I want my mum in my life but she hates me and ds2. Really. She said that ds2 gave me depression and she can't forgive him and that he is the spawn of the devil.

I can bearly watch this anymore (do still occasionally though!). They are finding more and more intensely self absorbed grooms.

Started off with fairly clueless guys but who mostly wanted to make the day work.

Saw one where the groom had gone to somewhere in Eastern Europe, and was waxing lyrical about everyone knew the stag do was far more important than the hen do and should have at least 10 times more spent on it. I just couldn't watch more so have no clue how the wedding turned out. I'm sure the bride claimed she thought it amazing though!

Does anyone remember the Vegas one, where the groom spent so much money on the wedding thst the bride didn't want snd his stag do (in Ibiza?) that he couldn't afford to fly out all of her family, and she refused to get on the plane??

They lasted 5 minutes they are divorced now the producers obviously pursuaded her to go on the plane

So how does the programme work then? Surely if you are at the stage of getting married the groom would know exactly what kind of wedding, dress etc the bride wants?

Oh my goodness, I just stumbled across the Las Vegas on Really TV.

Its horrendous and the grooms face when he said some of the family weren't going was awful. It was pure spite.
