Oh I love this. Never seen it before.
The bride sounds like Caroline Ahearne in the Royle. Family.

Jeez, she was hardly enjoying being kissed when she got to the groom.

There is no warmth or chemistry between them

Weebirdie · 15/07/2015 20:58

Or was it the botox?

The brides and her mother looked botoxed up to the hilt.

Quasicrystals1456 · 15/07/2015 20:59

This groom has red flags flying high. The mother of the bride is horrid too.

Wolpertinger · 15/07/2015 21:03

Glad not just me seeing red flags here - DH thinks I've read too much Mumsnet Blush

Quasicrystals1456 · 15/07/2015 21:08

Well if this is what he's like on camera in front of people then God help her.

I agree she wears too much make up but at the beginning he was really making a point. I don't fancy her chances in standing up to him when she's married and possibly pregnant.

Weebirdie · 15/07/2015 21:09

Can I ask what red flags you see please?

I thought it looked like he would be the one at risk.

He's a bit soft and she's as hard as nails.

Weebirdie · 15/07/2015 21:10

Ah I missed the beginning.

Quasicrystals1456 · 15/07/2015 21:12

The snapping at his friends was really uncomfortable. He was argumentative but then shutting his mate down.

Weebirdie · 15/07/2015 21:15

I must have missed quite a bit because I can recall thinking at one stage that he looked bullied by her and her family.

Figster · 15/07/2015 21:22

God she's a misery arse!!!!

Figster · 15/07/2015 21:24

Crap Churchill but I did like the with or without you rendition!!

Quasicrystals1456 · 15/07/2015 21:25

I'm a bit behind. They look freezing in that tent!

I think there was a lot of romantic ideas in there though Smile

Wolpertinger · 15/07/2015 21:51

The shutting his friends down was horrid. I was a bit concerned about the calls when she didn't like the dress - she looked worried to upset him and his instant response was that she was unreasonable not to like it as he had chosen it. It all seemed about him.

I thought MIL didn't like him because she had his number.

blueribbons · 16/07/2015 00:58

I really didn't like that groom - he didn't have stress issues, he had full on anger issues. I'm amazed his friends bother having anything to do with him.

I didn't like the way they portrayed him bossing her about at home either, marching her around telling her to pick things up and put them away, because he insists on a tidy house. When her mum was talking about her swapping the engagement ring, she looked really worried while insisting she'd liked it - seemed to me like she was thinking of him seeing that on the programme afterwards and getting annoyed about it.

I agree with Wolpertinger - I think the MIL sees trouble ahead with a son-in-law like that.

Redglitter · 16/07/2015 02:25

I wish they wouldn't let them change the dress if they don't like it. The whole premise of the show is the groom does it all. They're getting a free wedding out of it. They should wear whatever he chooses

KenDoddsDadsDog · 16/07/2015 07:13

He can only have been in the army for about five minutes and he was obsessed !

Mrsjayy · 16/07/2015 07:23

Im not sure why i watch this programme it gives me the rage a plane a frigging plane it was just so infuriating he was just so unhinged shouty about everything. I thought the bride was a bit of a push over tbh it was all so groom orientated i liked the original dress better than the 1 she or her mum chose.

lollilou · 16/07/2015 08:10

I liked the original dress and think if the mother had just said she liked it the bride would have liked it too. I didn't like the mother/daughter relationship either.
Last weeks was def the worst one of all.

Mrsjayy · 16/07/2015 08:14

The mum kept going on about how awful her wedding was and projecting it all onto her dd. My own dd thought the hen assault course looked fun and different and she would love to do a hen party like that Shock

Weebirdie · 16/07/2015 08:23

I thought the assault course looked great and my lot would have loved it. They'd have wanted to go round twice.

And I wonder if he's still hung up on the military because he want in it long. Was it right he left cos she didn't want to be a soldiers wife?

And now I think about it the kissing when he saw her did look like she was feeling uncomfortable/embarrassed about her make up.

I'm going to track this down on you tube because I obviously missed the bits that put a whole different light on these two.

Cecyhall · 16/07/2015 08:37

Surely that's another wedding that won't be legal (isn't there a rule that a wedding has to be under a fixed structure) so there will be more expense than shown going to the reg office to get it properly done like last week.

Mrsjayy · 16/07/2015 08:41

I think the laws in England and scotland are d7fferent im sure you can get married almost anywhere here as long as a registrar /person of church does it . I kept saying but they are not married what a farce

Mrsjayy · 16/07/2015 08:42

They did mention the registry office it was £128 or something
