I read somewhere that the Vegas couple got divorced.

Got serious douchechills from that guy. They had such a weird, over dependent relationship. The show has become so mean spirited recently and this one wasn't even fun to watch.

tigertrumpet it took me a while to work out where I had seen them - the coach trippers didn't like him at all !

I've had to switch it off. She was walking down the stairs into that horrible, grimy room after her husband to be has just done a frank spencer impression. I couldn't watch it any more.

Yes notquitehuman, he was "lost without her" and never wanted to be parted etc. and after the worst wedding ever, especially for her, said "I'm happy".

I've just watched last weeks with the Guns n Roses wedding. I think I would have loved that!

Guns n Roses groom was a nice guy. Thought the venue he chose for the reception was a bit cramped but otherwise it looked like a fun day.

My favourite part of the Guns n Roses one was at the end, when the bride remembered that she'd watched the November Rain video with him & talked about wanting that wedding dress.

Guns n Roses guy seemed genuinely nice and although it wasn't necessarily what the bride wanted, he picked a venue for the reception which knew how to throw a party. Everyone looked like they were having a fab time.

Compared to the cruise ship which was the worst wedding ever.

Her realisation of 'he does listen to me' was actually quite sweet to see.

Right at the end of the cruise ship one they showed the couple getting married in what looked like a registry office. No explanation or voice over. Just wondering whether that stupid boat wedding was even legal? Did they have to go do the legal bit elsewhere anyway?

I'm not princessy, and usually find the weird weddings on DTTB kinda cool, but this was the first one where I genuinely felt bad for the bride.

I don't get why they went all the way to beautiful Rome to get married on a soulless ship. That boat could have moored in Grimsby for all the difference it would have made.

notquitehuman I think you have to be resident in an EU country for over 60 days (or something like that) before you can legally get married there so you need the registry office bit at home to make it legal.

They mention somewhere in the planning about half way through that he's booked a registry office for the legalities.

Because a wedding overseen by a ship's entertainment officer isn't going to be legal, even if hes wearing a 'Choose Wife' T shirt

Also they never went to Rome. They went to Civitavecchia and home the following day. It's like going to Luton and saying it was London. Really really should have just done it on board in Southampton.

Ah I didn't know it was so difficult to marry in the EU. I married in Vegas, so always assume that it's a quick process!

That simple registry office wedding at the end was a hundred times nicer than the actual wedding.

I just watched the cruise ship one. Oh dear Lord , I felt SO sorry for Kelly, all that for ...well, what? All that faff for what could've been done in a registry office. And what happened to the best man, why did he bail out?

I asked Dh what he would plan for me and he got it right, which surprised me even though we've been together nearly 25 years

He'd fuck up massively on the dress though I bet.

Different countries will have different residence rules, some are easier than others but I don't think any are Vegas!

For England we needed to show DH had been resident at a UK address for 7 days before we gave notice as he was working abroad in the time - although a letter from our neighbour constituted proof enough.
