10 June, cannot wait for this.

Anyone else going to watch?

OP posts:

Third series, hmm. Still gorgeous, but baffling as hell. Is Will an honest to goodness baddie now? Am a bit sad that it wasn't just an FBI tactic.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 30/06/2015 00:14

Just watched ep3 - will isn't ringing true to me at all. Releasing that man to be killed & then staged by him was just a leap too far for me - given the previous 2 series. It's almost like there's a big chunk missing to explain what the hell is going on.

I'm kind of glad there won't be a 4th series - this one still has a feel of stretching the story just too far. I think that's why we've got all the weird shit/art shots, just to fill air time & justify this 3rd series. Might all make sense if we get thru it but right now it's just a whole load of weird shit that makes v little sense.

I'll keep watching tho Grin mads whatsisface is just bloody creepily brilliant.

Lweji · 30/06/2015 00:25

Watching episode 4. Interesting new characters and flashbacks this time.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/06/2015 06:05

Oh gawd. Not more flashbacks

They puzzle me

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/07/2015 23:39

Blondes Brain explodes

So all are alive apart from jacks wife who is dead

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 02/07/2015 22:53

Hmm, what I'm getting from all this weird arty/gore fest so far is that it seems Hannibal has not only physically marked them all but also marked them deeply psychologically . They've all been warped to varying degrees by their relationships with him before they twigged he was a psychotic cannibal, and everyone seems to want revenge except Will & Jack. But now jack's wife has died, and been pushed out the FBI, he'll be at a loose end & will join the queue at some stage. All by hannibal's design of course. Gillian Anderson doesn't seem as 'out there' now given that Will would take her place given the chance. She's at least got the sense to look terrified & disgusted in equal measure while not eating the previous evening's guest served up for the next one(s).

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2015 22:27

Subtitles on

Mumbling as always

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 09/07/2015 00:25

Is it wrong that I really enjoyed jack kicking the shit out of HannibalHmmGrin?

Are they all going to end up in a big scrum at the end fighting over who gets to kill him?

Will isn't the same Will from the previous 2 series. I know they're trying to pass it off as him being 'marked' or changed by Hannibal's effect, but I still don't buy it. But kudos to jack - as he kicked Hannibal through the glass cabinet, I remembered how proficient Morpheus was at martial arts Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2015 10:24

The fight was good

He got his arse kicked

Tho surprised he didn't shoot him at end

But then we know that jack captures Hannibal from books /red dragon so guess he can't kill him :(

Lweji · 12/07/2015 10:56

Anyone else noticed the name of the Italian policeman and what Hannibal said about his family?
I wonder if they will keep to the film story or give it a different twist, but I could see the grim reaper following him as he left the room.

Lweji · 12/07/2015 23:41

Just watched episode 6. Oh, FGS!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/07/2015 17:40

Just seen 6 as well

Had to google who margot was

Don't remember her in s2 sleeping with will it being captured and her womb taken out by her brother mason

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/07/2015 15:44

Omg. Anyone watch this on wed?

Still lots of episodes to go

Lweji · 24/07/2015 16:39

Yes. It was much faster than the previous ones. :)

I was slightly disappointed at how they ended up killing Verger.
And cringed at the baby. WTAF????

But poor Will surely has suffered enough. I hope they give him time to heal a bit.

And I expect this will be when lovely and poorly cast but very welcome Richard Armitage will enter as Dolarhyde.

I think I can watch it late this Saturday and I'm looking forward to it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/07/2015 22:43

I know

A baby in a pig???

Vagndidit · 01/08/2015 22:33

It's a good thing this show has been cancelled in the States. There's be no blood left for future episodes. So much blood. Ack!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2015 13:10

Enjoyed the tooth fairy episode

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 03/08/2015 01:14

Just caught up - the capture of Hannibal was such a whimper/non event. All the weird shit & illogical twists & turns seemed like just a pointless (yet very bloody) waste of time. They could have sorted the lead up to red dragon in 2, or at a push, 3 episodes with none of the weird tangents like the Japanese woman (what was the point of her?) with no real explanation as to how she ended up wandering through Florence with a big gun.

The red dragon episode brought back the original Will, he actually reacted to the murder scene in a way that made sense. Much better than all the weird (have I mentioned the weirdness already? Grin ) shit dragging out the pursuit of Hannibal.

I can remember the rest of story now, so the only thing left to possibly warrant further viewing is how Hannibal screws over Chilton & how he'll probably finally destroy Will. Not sure we'll get the full picture as I'm sure Chilton only gets his comeuppance after Hannibal escapes when Clarice Starling is involved. Did someone mention they can't use her character or something ? I might be havering now but I'm pretty disappointed in this series, given what's gone before.

Lweji · 07/08/2015 15:07

I'm hoping they redeem themselves in the second half of the series.
Yes, it was most weird how Hannibal just handed in himself. Possibly because he actually wanted Will to know where he was? Does he need Will that much? Hmm.

I wonder if they will twist the red dragon story or it will just be essentially a recap of the original.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/08/2015 00:03

Thought this weeks was a but crap :(

PenguindreamsofDraco · 09/08/2015 18:48

I am going to miss this programme so much, I completely adore it. Just hoping somehow they change the ending, in a very warped way I am hoping for a murder husband happy ever after.Grin

Doesn't hurt that I had a filthy dream about Hannibal a couple of weeks ago that still makes me come over all unnecessary Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2015 04:06

Tad confused about GA sticking her hand down mans throat when he was choking

Did she try and kill him yet said she was trying to help him

Then she collapsed on the floor

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 17/08/2015 15:39

Yes, it was most weird how Hannibal just handed in himself. Possibly because he actually wanted Will to know where he was? Does he need Will that much? Hmm

I thought he just gave up because Will said he didn't care about him and didn't want to think about him. Hannibal had spent so much time killing 'for' Will, to get his attention, to impress him and perhaps had become closer and more reliant on Will than he previously realised. Will did worse than hate Hannibal; he doesn't care about him. At which point Hannibal just seems to give up. At their very first meeting Will tells him that he doesn't find him interesting, to which he replies 'You will'. There's no point to him going on, because the thrill of having Will chase after him and/or using Will as a sort of puppet killer has gone.

I did Grin when they used the fan-name murder husbands

I think Armitage was very good as FD. What a piece of luck for Bryan Fuller that when Lee Pace was unavailable due to making the excellent Halt And Catch Fire, his boyfriend Armitage was free. Shame that this series probably won't raise Armitage's profile too much, though. Also, Pace would have made an excellent Buffalo Bill, shame we won't get to see that now

Japanese lady was completely pointless and I didn't get why Bedelia stuck her hand down Sylar Spock that dude's throat, either

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 17/08/2015 15:42

I just looked it up and she killed him because she thought it was self defence, which was down to Hannibal's influence. She choked him on his own tongue and said 'It wasn't attached at the time', hence sticking her hand down his throat. Yuck
