On MrsPeabody's advice I've started a new one.

OP posts:
MrsPeabody · 31/03/2015 14:05

Love the Abraham quote. Simply put, brilliant.

I also thought the W was something that was carved afterwards. The wolf had no intention of keeping Morgan alive. Though he wanted to take him somewhere to die first.

50shadesofknackered · 31/03/2015 14:10

I thought the walkers have a little army at that place with the trucks. They took that man in the red coat there then killed him, so I guess that's what they were going to do with Morgan. I guess that in season 6 they'll unleash their army on Alexandria, though they might need a few more dead people to really do some damage. Not sure how they'd get all those dead people there either. Maybe I'm talking rubbish...

loveareadingthanks · 31/03/2015 14:12

It's called a quarterstaff, yes (love it that the actor took lessons from a ninja turtle!).

The cans worried me too, and Daryl was looking at the trailers a bit suspiciously, but still opened them. You'd think he'd have tapped on them first or something. I'd be tapping on any shut container/door/room to see if anything made a noise in response.

Wolves seem to like murdering people in very nasty ways. Tree woman. Noah's home. They were going to kill Morgan (the Wolf said like 'I'll be taking you too and you won't be living long' when Morgan asked to be left a little food).

Loved the way bully Pete backed down from Carol. She would have slit his throat without a blink if he hadn't, and he knew it. Must have been a bit of a shock for him. I don't think he meant to kill Deanna's husband though, was trying to push him away while holding a sword, rather than deliberately cut his throat. Still murder, of course. Deanna accepted finally that Rick was right - you have no alternative but to execute dangerous people. Shame it had to become personal for her to get there. Interested to see what happens to the man who tried to kill Glenn, when they get back.

Morgan seems to have got a dose of religion/zen? When he was 'mad' before a lot of that seemed religious/end of times. Is he really sane again now? Are any of them really sane any more?

I thought there'd be more people at the town meeting. There were loads of them at the construction site, for example, never to be seen again. Can't they afford non-walker extras?

TheHoundsBitch · 31/03/2015 14:19

I was surprised that Darryl didn't notice the cans tied up on the lorrys too, he didn't bang on the door of the lorry before he opened it either, which seemed out of character.
Did anyone else notice the 'W' in the blood spatter on the parking lot? I think it was just before they got in the car, when the camera panned back to show they were surrounded.

MrsPeabody · 31/03/2015 14:50

Daryl not being able to track the guy in red was unbelievable. Wink

ZombieHunter · 31/03/2015 14:59

CrispyFern

My theory is (NO spoiler warning: I have never read the comics so no idea if I'm right or wrong) that the Wolves kill humans of communities they looted and then gather them as zombies in areas like the food compound we have seen. They brand their new zombies with the 'W'.

When they are ready to attack a community, such as Noah's or probably next Alexandria, they unleash their army of zombies to kill all those in the community and then they take what they can get and move on.

They get their army where they want them to be by putting 'baits' on route, such as the woman that was tied to the tree. Zombies will follow that path and once they smell all the fresh meat in the communities there won't be any stopping them.

This is how I see it. Their army gets bigger as with every community they loot they get more zombies.

Someone a week ago or so mentioned something similar and this theory makes sense after the last two episodes.

Then again, could be totally wrong. As I said, never read the comics, could be totally off with this speculation.

BreakingDad77 · 31/03/2015 15:01

Im assuming you can just back/drive the trucks through most barricades they did it on a small scale at the prison.

Morgan did have a bit of the air of Cane? from Kung Fu lol.

BreakingDad77 · 31/03/2015 15:06

I would agree zombiehunter kinda herding them into where ever and letting them loose and of course it means any food/supplies are left untouched.

Though I wonder how they choose when/who to recruit? I was expecting them to turn up to Glen/Nick finishing the other off and offering them to join.

Good old glenster,
you can infect him!,
you can torture him!,
you can beat him!,
you can even shoot him!
and he keeps on going!....

limitedperiodonly · 31/03/2015 15:18

I thought the cans were a warning, though who set them up? Surely not the Wolves? It's so windy here that they'd be clattering like mad and any fool would know there were zombies inside.

Anyway a better warning would be 'Don't Open; Dead Inside'.

Notice how even in a zombie apocalypse I would punctuate. Standards must be maintained or as Abraham says, the world goes to said shit.

And Daryl surely would make a noise outside the containers before attempting to open them. It's what they do. And I'm sure he would tell Aaron off for scrabbling around for the registration plate by the partially opened doorway.

I don't understand who wrote that note in the car warning them about bad people a little bit too late.

I've also been mulling over Wolf #1 who ambushed Morgan. Morgan was so cool that I'd find that really unsettling. Most people would be gibbering or angry.

I wouldn't reveal the fact that I was going to kidnap and kill him in horrible ways after stealing his assault rifle and Cup-A-Soup. I think that was too cocky. I'd act friendly and say: 'Come with me and join my mutilated band, strange warrior.'

But then Wolf #1 knew that Wolf #2 was sneaking up so I suppose thought he could play with Morgan. And perhaps the arrogance of always winning lulled him.

But Morgan was ahead of him and had the Broomstick of Mighty Wrath up his sleeve. Hurrah.

I also thought that he beeped the horn after shoving them in the car to attract the walkers but then noticed he appeared to close the door. And why go to the effort of dragging them into the car if you wanted the walkers to get them? Just leave them helpless on the ground and beep the horn.

I also agree with whoever it was that said that Sasha should have pushed, not tugged that walker into the pit. I thought his arm was going to come off.

limitedperiodonly · 31/03/2015 15:27

zombiehunter that's a good theory. I always thought they were unpredictable, but the sequence where the Wolves turned on the music and lights and they all obediently walked into the containers (another poster joked about a zombie rave Grin) suggests otherwise. I suppose you could train them.

I have no idea, but it's an extension of making noise to attract them or using quiet weapons such as crossbows and knives so as not.

OP posts:
Aridane · 31/03/2015 15:37

Did anyone see Norman Reedus (aka Daryl) on The Talking Dead, all suited and booted?

I though he had lost his rough and raw appeal and looked a little sleazy.

For our next thread, we could call it We are the Talking Dead !! Grin

BreakingDad77 · 31/03/2015 15:50

I think morgan didn't want to make it too easy for them to pursue him once they came around.

If I was him I would have put one of them in the front seat with his head resting on the horn. Grin

MrsPeabody · 31/03/2015 15:51

Very apt title suggestion.

ZombieHunter · 31/03/2015 15:52

Love the zombie rave Grin The wolves seem to have trained them very well, and as I said then use them to attack other communities to get all their food / clothes / goodies.

YY to why on earth did Daryl not knock first. Haven't they learnt anything? ...

Just glad nobody (important) died. Season 6 is going to be brilliant. Let's hope the spin off in summer won't disappoint.

BreakingDad77 · 31/03/2015 15:52

The wolf guy was saying it takes a long time to reset so assume they have to play music in each container in turn and when closing them you must have to kill some so need to replenish them?

limitedperiodonly · 31/03/2015 15:55

If I was him I would have put one of them in the front seat with his head resting on the horn.

Yes BreakingDad77.

There's that thing in films where there's a car accident and then the camera pans away to the sound of a blaring horn which indicates they're dead.

Or zombie bait...

iklboo · 31/03/2015 15:55

I loved Abraham's 'shit' speech last night. Very well put.

Listmaker · 31/03/2015 16:26

I agree that Rick definitely shot Pete. So glad Glenn didn't die - thought he was a gonner and I was gutted. No idea how he was meant to have survived though but very happy that he did.

Rick is losing it a bit but I'd still want to be in his team.

Gabriel is a selfish bastard!!

What am I going to do til October? Sad

BreakingDad77 · 31/03/2015 16:35

Umming and arring about getting the graphic novels to tide me over Confused

FannyFifer · 31/03/2015 16:46

Is it wrong that I'm starting to get a crush on big ginge. Shock

DontOpenDeadInside · 31/03/2015 17:05

Has anyone seen the trailer for The Walking Dead Deceased? Its a spoof film based on TWD. Seems a bit corny but might be worth a watch.
8 sorry if that doesnt work. Released on March 20th but not sure if thats just usa.

DontOpenDeadInside · 31/03/2015 17:09

THE WALKING DECEASED Trailer (The Walking Dead Spoof Movie - 2015):

MrsPeabody · 31/03/2015 17:12

Fifer, he is building up quite a following on here.

I thought I wasn't bothered about glen until he looked like a goner. Then it was 'nooooo, you bastard Nicholas'. Very gripping episode.

Though the rest of the season has been so dull (barring the Noah episode) anything would seem exciting.

DontOpenDeadInside · 31/03/2015 17:13

Just realised its past March 20th lol. This year is flying by.

loveareadingthanks · 31/03/2015 17:37

I vote ZOMBIE RAVE for next thread title
