About the changing abilities of the walkers. I noticed this when I binged on the previous seasons.
I think it was in the episode where Rick and Glen covered themselves in zombie guts. After they'd been rumbled, some of the walkers were running, and some managed to climb over a chain link fence! That would have made their stay in the prison a lot shorter.
I'm pretty sure it was Enid watching them from the house just outside the gate

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 10/03/2015 18:07

It has been said that the zombies are decaying as time goes on.

Obviously fresh ones are being 'made' but generally they are getting older and crapper.

The Walking Dead title in the intro is getting darker as the series go on too. Used to be white. Now it's a pale peachy colour. I have a theory that it'll be red by the end.

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 10/03/2015 18:09

In the first few episodes a zombie managed to negotiate a ladder too.

Wouldn't see that now. They'd walk into it and get wedged.

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 10/03/2015 18:18

Makes sense really, freshly turned zombies will have all of their muscle structure intact and still supple = strong. Over time it decays, less muscle structure = weak.

Hi all!

Not been on MN for long but I am an avid TWD fan so I'm parking my a* here so I can find this thread again!

Anyone have a link to the first thread?

aticusclaw · 10/03/2015 18:50

Various things seem to change with them though and the story lines aren't always followed though fully (or else I miss bits!). In the prison illness episodes one of them was bleeding from the eyes and then one of the survivors inside started bleeding from the eyes before he turned.

rallytog1 · 10/03/2015 19:06

I think the zombies are rotting over time if they don't feed.

I'm also beginning to wonder if the reason why Alexandria has stayed intact all this time is because someone (Deanna) is giving weaker members of the community over to the nasty W people in return for protection for the community. Kind of a quid pro quo thing (or like The Greater Good in Hot Fuzz). There have been mentions of people being exiled or killed, and we've seen pics of people who clearly no longer live there.

My suspicions were raised when they sent Glenn, Noah and Tara out for a dummy supply run - they probably seemed to Deanna like the three people they could most afford to lose.

GentlyBenevolent · 10/03/2015 19:11

Like I said on the other thread. Cowslip's warren.

MrsPeabody · 10/03/2015 19:13

Interesting theory Rally. That sounds quite plausible.

I need more episodes!!!

rallytog1 · 10/03/2015 19:17

YES Gently! - I remember you saying that now but didn't get the reference at the time. Feels very plausible.

Imsosorryalan · 10/03/2015 19:27

Ah found you. I also think that the group are being too confident about over taking Alex, I think something bad will happen!

MrsPeabody · 10/03/2015 19:27

This thread is making me google a lot

ApocalypseNowt · 10/03/2015 19:31

Oooh I like it rallytog. Good theory.

I might be getting things mixed up but are the wolefs anything to do with the rumoured group of people that wear zombie skins as camoflage? Was thinking that was why they might be called wolefs? Like wolefs in sheeps clothing.

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 10/03/2015 19:39

Apocalypse that's brilliant. I never made that connection.

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 10/03/2015 19:40

Wolves are new, not from the comics. Unless they've changed names around.

Rosieliveson · 10/03/2015 19:43

Limited, I love the idea of your cat in the papoose. You'd need to get a samurai sword to complete the look Grin

Rosieliveson · 10/03/2015 19:44

What's cowslip warren?

Bedsheets4knickers · 10/03/2015 19:48

How many more a left of this season.

ConeyIslandPeach · 10/03/2015 19:50

I think the W is foreshadowing for The Whisperers.

Pretty sick brand new group that wear walkers faces as masks.

I don't think Deanna is feeding residents to another group in order for protection. I did find it odd though how she was very reluctantly to have anyone in the watch tower.

Bedsheets4knickers · 10/03/2015 19:52

I think the zombies have changed because the show isn't really about them anymore it's more about surviving against other groups of people. Probably just not wasting as much money zombie scenes x

Bedsheets4knickers · 10/03/2015 19:52

Walkers can not believe I've just called them zombies!!!

Bedsheets4knickers · 10/03/2015 19:54

It's def odd that she's doesn't want anyone in the watch tower

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 10/03/2015 20:20

That's why the fence struts are on the outside!

To keep them in!

There's s protection racket going on.

aticusclaw the walker outside the prison with the bleeding eyes was probably a previous victim of whatever virus it was that they got in the prison.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/03/2015 20:57

Carol did a fab job of scaring the boy who wanted biscuits

Not sure of the W and A - w on walker looked carved on.

Def no crops or animals so how do they live. Only so much food and seems booze is plentiful

Yes saw the blood splatter on camera and said to Dp about it

Surely if been without showers for months you would relish the thought of clean warm bath and shower

How did they travel 600 miles from hospital to army base?

Think this was 13 and only 16 so 3 left :(

Will here be a 6?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 10/03/2015 21:13

Yeah Carol did get a bit psycho on his ass. I was a bit shocked at that. She really is desperate to keep undercover.

Poor Buttons. Didn't like that bit either.
