Just watched this weeks, it's so ramping up to the finale - cannot wait.

I fully expect Mother Dick to appear in my list of 'labour swear words', love it and may give me and the midwife a secret bond...

DH will not entertain TWD so have nobody to analyse with in RL Sad

MrsPeabody · 17/03/2015 22:03

Welcome Awful Smile

I can't wait for the next two episodes, but don't want the season to be over either.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 17/03/2015 22:31

It'll all be on channel five again in a few weeks.

FinnHuckleBerry · 17/03/2015 22:40

Yes they were brothers. What was his name? Nicholas?

They aren't brothers.

Aidens brother is called Spencer.

The guy that left him was Nicholas.

FinnHuckleBerry · 17/03/2015 22:43

so pretty much exactly as you would expect for a random group of Georgians.

They aren't all from Georgia though are they?

I thought Tyreese and Sasha were from Florida?

Noah is from Virginia

Rosita and Abraham are from Texas.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 17/03/2015 23:02

Oh I thought they were brothers.

Still not a very nice guy. That's obviously why there aren't many people in Alexandria. Everyone else got left to die.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2015 23:31

Why would you leave someone you cared for /lives with to die?

Def a case of the strong fend for theirselves and the weak die

Did I mention my lovely red /blonde Abraham put his own life at risk to save someone

swoons

FinnHuckleBerry · 17/03/2015 23:36

Why would you leave someone you cared for /lives with to die?

It's just panicking and reacting in the moment. I'm not excusing it but it's also not calculated.

50shadesofknackered · 17/03/2015 23:42

I didn't think they were brother's. Spencer, who Sasha was talking to at the party was his brother (I think)
I really liked Abraham in this episode, I've not been to keen on him before. I have a feeling he may be a goner, especially as they focussed on him so much this week. I think either Rick or Maggie will end up killing Deanna when she goes postal.
And I've said it before and i'll say it again, my plan for surviving the zombie apocalypse involves holing up at dc's school which is at the end of the road, with big railings around and has a kitchen so plenty of food. Then, when we have stocked up and collected ourselves we will go and find ourselves a lovely big cruise ship. We'll gather survivors along the way and we can rid the ship of zombies and travel from port to port collecting supplies. Zombies can't climb up to us and other groups can't attack us. Its the perfect plan. I will not worry about the fact we are in the Midlands and therefore nowhere near the sea

I think him and Francine will get it on. There had to be a reason that it was a woman he saved and that she was actually given a name.

He probably will eventually die at some point but I don't think it will be this season.

Here's a tour of Alexandria if anyone is interested.

ZacharyQuack · 18/03/2015 00:39

(They weren't brothers)

I'm predicting Nicolas will come to when the van gets back to Alexandria and put all the blame on Glen for the fuck-up. Deanna will be grieving her son, so will be inclined to believe him, especially with Gabriel dripping poison in her ear about Rick's Evil Group. Maggie will support Glen and will be grieving Noah and worried about Tara, and she knows about what Gabriel said. Here comes the conflict between Rick's group and the Alexandrians.

The Alexandrians seem to have a policy of every man for himself and run away from danger, whereas Rick's group face up to it and never leave anyone behind. Did you notice that after the blast, Nicolas was very quick to say that Aiden was dead, so he didn't have to try to help him? The Alexandrians have just been very lucky that they had shelter in a quiet area, because none of them seem to have any survival skills.

They need the doctor to help Tara, so Carol and Rick will have to back off.

I'm a big Carol fan, but I think she's crossed a line deciding that Rick (why Rick?) has to kill Mr Jessie based on not very much evidence.

Glen has crept up the list of lovely blokes and he's my top pick at the moment, along with MotherDick of course. The actor playing Glen did a fine job in this week's episode.

Yay Eugene! I still don't think he'll be a long term character, but for a moment it looked like he was going to abandon Tara. But he saved her and came back for the others.

Has anyone seen the trailer for next week?

NickiFury · 18/03/2015 07:58

I have to say I have never been particularly keen on either Glenn or Abraham but both of them were acers this week. I'm really hoping that doesn't mean they're for the chop Sad, just as I have started loving them. Glenn's face in the door after Noah was taken made me cry. So well done.

Gabriel has fucked this right up for everyone and I agree that Deana will believe him and it will go nuclear once she finds out her son is dead.

IdaBlankenship · 18/03/2015 08:32

Poor, lovely Glenn and obviously poor Noah Sad. They have definitely ramped up the gore this episode - it was the first one since the Terminus opening episode where i had to watch from between my fingers a few times. Also, it was great to see the zombies being an actual threat again, as they have been dealt with so easily this series.
Father Gabriel has to be zombie bait although I am fascinated about how he can keep his head so shiny and hair free in a ZA.
I am feeling the Abraham love, I would be sad to see him go now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2015 08:39

Gabriel is wearing his dog collar again. Does that mean he believes again? He ripped it off a few episodes ago. Think in the church one - it was his fault when he escaped underneath and Zomblies then were after him

limitedperiodonly · 18/03/2015 09:32

I noticed that Blondes. I was going to post it as a mistake but then I thought maybe the Alexandrians have loads of dressing up outfits, like the shopkeeper in Mr Benn, and he put it on again.

Policeman's uniform for Rick, motorbike for Daryl, frumpy mum disguise for Carol...

What did Gabriel put underneath the page in the bible at the beginning? It looked like a plastic bag or maybe something like tracing paper.

rallytog1 · 18/03/2015 09:39

I think Gabriel was talking about himself as much as the others. His dog collar is a perfect disguise for a metaphorical (or maybe literal?) wolf in sheep's clothing.

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 18/03/2015 09:56

Wax paper limited, it confused me too.

MrsPeabody · 18/03/2015 10:09

Cool link Finn. Thanks :)

tornyourdress.com/2015/03/17/the-walking-dead-514-spend/

Good outline of show. I missed the whole strawberries have religious implication for father Gabriel.

BreakingDad77 · 18/03/2015 10:25

Is Nicholas tied up or something as it looked to me like he has a gunned trained on him by Eugene?

Props to Glen, I would have tied him to the van and dragged him back to Alexandria.

NickiFury · 18/03/2015 10:49

Love that link mrspeabody I am afraid I blubbed again with I saw the gif of Glenn in the rotating door Sad.

I'm going to be pretty pissed off now if anything bad happens to lovely Glenn Angry.

limitedperiodonly · 18/03/2015 11:01

That's a really good blog mrsP. I've bookmarked it.

I read the Guardian one but it's just a recap. The writer doesn't get that you are meant to comment and expand and make some jokes.

He took over from a woman who did the first part of the season. She'd obviously not watched any of the preceding seasons, didn't know who the characters were, made crazy errors and used it as a platform to express her political and social views. I don't think she likes the show.

She did one on Game of Thrones and then announced in a big flounce she'd be boycotting the series because it disgusted her. It was hard to see how HBO and assorted fans would care.

Strangely enough, her blog was more interesting than his because it was so bad and some of the comments slating it were brilliant.

A writer called Sarah Hughes does the Game of Thrones one for the Guardian and she's great. It's worth reading if you're interested in GoT but wait until after the British screening because she does it straight after the US one the night before.

Aridane · 18/03/2015 11:23

Father Gabriel and the wax paper - I thought he was trying to repair a torn page in the bible (well, before he lost it and started ripping it to shreds...)

loveareadingthanks · 18/03/2015 11:34

I was freaking out as soon as the music started playing 'you're going to die' in the van. Like something out of Final Destination. I've decided all music has a creepy ulterior motive in TWD.
