Cant see another thread for it.

If he painted a thin moustache on himself and wore a blue stripy bathing cap hed look like Sportacus from Lazytown!

Im getting a bit of a gilrle crush on Emilia Fox I must say, liking her a lot, very kind to Jamelia.

Kelly Holmes already putting her oar in and forgetting dhe had to overcome her fear of water so why get at Jamelia? Thought J did well to get on the horse and not do a Helen Flanagan as I thought shed be like that.

Not a Jamelia fan but thought shes doing well.

Max seemed nice enough but not very bright at looking out for stuff. Not only the knife action but he couldn't tie the right knots even after being shown twenty million times Confused He probably had a contract for other stuff back in LA anyway.

silveroldie2 · 28/02/2015 10:06

Thankfully managed to avoid watching the wee drinking and thought eating live scorpions was ridiculous. I was pretty sure Jamelia was on the way out but Max deserved to go.

Lovelise · 28/02/2015 14:09

Trenzalore - I too have a girlie crush on Emilia Fox! Love her in Silent Witness.

If I had to drink my own wee, I would prefer it to be a nice light colour not a full bodied vintage like Toms! More Chardonnay than Merlot.

Tom Rosenthal is quite amusing but Jamelia is getting on my wick.

Trenzalore · 28/02/2015 17:18

Im here! Only on for a wee Grin -geddit?- bit early eveining!

Jamelia IS annoying but shes giving it all a go to her credit..

Maybe Vogue will go next. thought itd be between her and Max anyway.

Tom showing a bit too much there in the river!

Really liking the Foxes. you can see theyre really close.

Kelli Holmes is full of herself, how many more times is she going to mention shes got gold medals and is a dame?likes blowing her own trumpet.

at this moment in time Id like to see Tindall, Tom, and the Foxes make the last 4.

I watched it. I knew Bear would make them drink their own piss. he's obsessed with drinking piss.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/02/2015 20:01

I think I have drunk wine before now that tasted like piss, or so I thought at the time Confused would that count? It definitely wasn't from a vintage year wink]

I suppose the point is that Bear's teaching them survival skills that are for when you absolutely have to do something in order to survive, not just doing things to challenge them.

I've been loving Emilia, especially how kind and supportive she's been to Jamelia.

Jacana · 02/03/2015 10:14

Watched it for the first time last week and I'll see it through to the end. Jamelia OUT! Really annoyed me and I just know it'll get worse..

Street vendors were selling fried scorpions, cockroaches and crickets in Thailand when I was there. Full of protein apparently.tried a cricket, as part of the 'Thailand experience', couldn't face the cockroaches tho. On TV I remember seeing some jungle natives eating live scorpions, so not just the bear bloke then.

LividofLondinium · 07/03/2015 07:40

It's one of those programmes that I wasn't going to watch (I'm not that keen on Bear or celebrity challenge type stuff) but because I have an interest in survival and Costa Rica I thought I'd give it a go. Well, what a load of old bollocks it is...but it's too compelling to stop watching it, dammit! There's so little in the way of survival techniques that it's a waste of time for that and not much drama either. The most exciting thing so far has been James and Jamellia falling out! What's the point!?Confused

As for the scorpion-eating thing, that was bollocks too. What the hell was the point of Bear giving them "food" that they'd eat if they were in dire strait for it to be something that without him removing the stinger they'd potentially be in trouble. And don't get me started on the animal welfare side of things of mutilating insects for TV entertainment; I agree with Chris Packham's stance on that, although I suspect I'll be in the minority here. I shall keep watching it in the hope that one of them dies and the others eat them thoughGrin Come back Ray Mears, all's forgiven.

Thank god jamelia is gone. She's such a winger, giving out about the foxes even though they have been helping her with horses and rucksack. And that flounce up to the mentors saying she wanted to leave, she was just waiting for someone from camp to come up and tell " oh please don't go" .
I'm liking mike tindall.

Trenzalore · 07/03/2015 17:20

Mikes good isnt he?

Think Tom might go next, he cant light fires!

Beginning to dislike Lawrence, hes a bit up himself. Love Emilia tho.

Kelly was good last night encouraging Jamelia to stay.

OP posts:
Lovelise · 07/03/2015 20:28

Yes, must admit I won't miss Jamelias moany-whingeyness.

I like the Foxes. They seem sensible and generally nice.

silveroldie2 · 08/03/2015 15:57

About time Jamelia went - I disagreed with Kelly encouraging her to stay - she didn't really want to work as part of a team at all.

Hmm any thoughts on who will be next to be evicted?

Trenzalore · 09/03/2015 17:21

Tom or Vogue to go next. Toms funny but doesn't seem to know how do anything.

OP posts:
ThinkIveBeenHacked · 09/03/2015 17:24

See I think Tom is a dark horse. He is incredibly chipper and that has to be good for morale. And ok he is a crap fire lighter but he is generally a good sort and Id much rather be there with him than hoity Loz.

Trenzalore · 09/03/2015 17:40

Agree.

OP posts:
Jacana · 09/03/2015 18:21

i reckon Loz will be gone long before Amelia, he seems quite lightweight.

Rather like Mike, the 16stone, raft sinking gentle giantGrin

Jacana · 09/03/2015 18:22

Sorry, didn't mean that Mike is like Loz, meant that I like him!

Lovelise · 13/03/2015 22:05

Not the Foxes! Bear had it in for Emilia from the start Angry

silveroldie2 · 14/03/2015 08:42

The Foxes being evicted was a bit of a shocker. Since Lawrence appears to be the only one who can start a fire, the next episode should be interesting.

I reckon Mike will take on more of a lead role now.

Jacana · 14/03/2015 09:36

The foxes have been evicted? Shit, I've missed an epi. This real life stuff gets inconvenient sometimes. So my lazy Saturday morning is going to happen in front of I-player...

Nancy66 · 14/03/2015 11:15

it's really obvious that the Foxes must have said they could only commit to a week of filming and not the whole show.

No way would producers willingly allow the most famous contestants to go while leaving a bunch of C listers

Jacana · 14/03/2015 12:11

just caught up.

Loz has been incredibly stupid, tho. First by ignoring the Trench Foot advice and striding off barefoot through mud (this condition plagued the soldiers during the First World War in the trenches, poor sods), and then by not listening and going down into the unknown territory of the caves without the rope? For both of these I reckon he deserved to go. Shame, tho, cos his fire making skills will be missed.

Emilia? Dunno, Bear certainly has his favourites and it showed from last week that she clearly wasn't on his buddy list. From the bits we saw I think she did OK.

Not seeing much of the Vogue woman doing a lot of much, tho.

I was wondering what the celebs did about a lav, no squatting into a hole they'd dug and wiping with a leaf for them, then. Portable sanilav? Give me strength.

Interesting that they were taught that mud was the best mozzie deterrent but since the first epi no-one's been doing it?

I was a little bit in love with Mike, now I'm a lot more in love with him. Still, at 16stone, there's enough of him to go round, anyone else admit to a pash? I'd certainly want him around in the jungle, or anywhere, really..

Prediction, Dame Kelly will be the winner. Bear's favourite. Surprise!

fussychica · 14/03/2015 15:34

No thanks Jacana he's all yours!

Jacana · 14/03/2015 17:15

He's no oil painting, is heGrin but I like the way he gets on with stuff without histrionic fuss. And he was the one who saw the potential of the handy log left by the river. I liked him in the ski thingy and I'm liking him in this.

Trenzalore · 14/03/2015 17:30

totes agree, Bear had it in for Emilia. stupid reason to evict her cos she had a meltdown at bottom of cave. she soon got over it. Meanwhile teachers pet Kelly had major meltdown by the river and Bear told her she was brave FFS.

understand Loz going, silly boy, but Emilia? Mikes really good, and Tom did much better last night.

whisper- ive got a wee bit of a crush on the male guide they have with them, forgotten his name!
