Oh No! A Kalinda sex scene Angry

bluelamp · 26/02/2015 21:54

Conversation in the corridor nice contrast to the one in the very first episode.

northender · 26/02/2015 22:04

Have absolutely had enough of Kalinda now. It just doesn't seem to add anything to the story lines.

DustBunnyFarmer · 26/02/2015 22:05

Yes, I could do without Kalinda dry humping every 5 mins.

They are keeping us guessing on the Finn/Johnny shag sweepstakes. Place your bets now!

MorrisZapp · 26/02/2015 23:06

Ok two questions: how old is Alicia's mother meant to be? She looks about five years older than Alicia.

And did anybody else find it weird when multiple characters referred to Alicia's son as having had an abortion? What an odd way of putting it.

Italiangreyhound · 27/02/2015 01:34

Bluelamp love the idea of that but a bit too much! (of that not of me loving that!!!)

Which conversation in a corridor in the very first episode?

Is it my imagination or is Cary getting even more good looking!

I think I will bet for Fin because she just can't move on from Will and Fin is the closest thing to him! Unless he has an evil twin!

Kalinda, not sure how she manages to be so good at her job and so sexually active, I am only just managing to look after two kids, let alone do any work or anything else!!!

MorrisZapp Julianna Margulies was born in 1966 making her almost 50 and Stockard Channing (only just worked out who she was) deep breath... was born in 1944 making her about 70 so she is old enough but she looks AmAzing for 70! I hope I age half that well.

YES very odd the way they kept talking about Zack having an abortion. Although we do talk about men having a baby don't we!

Why don't Robin and Cary Zeps get it on! It's too much Kalinda and Cary, if Cary and Alicia can be the new Will and Diane then Robin and Cary Zeps can be the new Kalinda and Cary Agos! I think that would all be very awkward!

Must go to bed now!!

zinher · 27/02/2015 01:56

I love this show but haven't managed to see for quite a whole. Love Alicia. She is such a strong character that the male characters just pale in front of her. Finn looks like will to me. Not suited to her at all. Also love Eli gold.

Duckdeamon · 27/02/2015 11:12

Urgh, yet more unsexy and unecessary sex scenes.

My bet is on Jonny. Fin is gorgeous but seems too vulnerable!

Good row in the corridor and Alicia putting Peter in his place again.

MorrisZapp · 27/02/2015 11:16

As an aside, if you can get your mitts on Alan Cummings book 'Not my Fathers Son' you will have your mind blown.

I missed a few seasons btw, is Diane currently married? To whom?

MorrisZapp · 27/02/2015 11:21

And another fun fact :)

Jessie Royce Landis was famously a year younger than Cary Grant when she played his mother in North by Northwest.

It came out that she was being a bit economical with the truth, and in fact she was seven years older than him but still.

northender · 27/02/2015 11:27

Morris dh gave me that book for my birthday, I love it, an amazing story.

youngestisapyscho · 27/02/2015 11:43

Didn't Diane marry the gun guy??

fascicle · 27/02/2015 11:55

She did.

MorrisZapp · 27/02/2015 14:29

That gun guy was adorbes!

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 27/02/2015 22:15

Oh ok, that episode annoyed us (no wine, for a start) but DP and I have decided it's a transitional episode, bridging us into a 'new political Alicia'. Loved the parallel with the first episode, but I think the show is going to change quite dramatically this season...

Oh yeah and #teamfinn.

DustBunnyFarmer · 28/02/2015 07:43

I'm also looking forward to the look on David's face when he realises it was his grandstanding that reminded Diane that the lease was still in her name.

bluelamp · 28/02/2015 14:41

Is it my imagination or is Cary getting even more good looking!

He's definitely getting better looking but that may just be because thanks to this thread last year I discovered that he was late 30s rather than mid 20s which made it much more acceptable for me in my 40s to, ahem, appreciate his qualities.

Mixtape · 28/02/2015 14:47

The two things that made Cary more attractive to me:

Finding out his age

The scenes of him in prison

I don't know what this says about me.

Nancy66 · 28/02/2015 15:56

I agree. Total overkill with Kalinda and her thigh-boot strutting, boy/girl shagging malarkey.

More Robyn.

Mixtape · 28/02/2015 16:22

Doesn't Kalinda leave this series?

bluelamp · 28/02/2015 16:27

I think Kalinda was much better when she was Alicia's friend in series 1 before Alicia found out about her relationship with Peter, since then I think the writers haven't really given her anything realistic and interesting enough. The story about her husband was just shite.

Mixtape · 28/02/2015 16:38

They've made Kalinda so enigmatic and self possessed, it is almost impossible to do anything with her!

Although seeing her break down when Will died made it a million times sadder.

DustBunnyFarmer · 28/02/2015 20:02

DH and I loved the insight into Elspeth Tassioni's "ooh penguins!" inner life. Of course, one way to neutralise the Elspeth threat is to bring her into the new firm - it's a no-brainer. C'mon Alicia!

DustBunnyFarmer · 28/02/2015 20:04

For the record, you are all welcome to Cary. I'll have Finn thank you very much.

Chippednailvarnish · 28/02/2015 20:45

There's not been enough Michael J Fox in this series, his character was brilliant in the court scenes against Alicia.
