Anyone watching?

OP posts:
DustBunnyFarmer · 30/04/2015 21:59

Oh my! What a mish-mash of an episode. Still, on the upside, Alicia does plan to boff Johnny - and possibly Finn too, if her imagination is anything to go by. Roll on next week...

DustBunnyFarmer · 30/04/2015 21:59

And grrr to the bloody election. I do NOT want Catherine Tate at 9pm. I want Alicia!

colouringinagain · 30/04/2015 22:12

Not entirely convinced by tonight's episode really!

But given Alicia's long looks over to Johnny in the car, does that mean he's winning over Finn? (I Love Finn Smile).

Like others, I'm really missing the court cases and courtroom back-and-forth.

DustBunnyFarmer · 30/04/2015 22:17

Finn? Johnny? I don't really mind. I just want Alicia to be happy. I think Johnny will be the fun fling to break her attachment to Will. Finn will be the keeper.

chanie44 · 30/04/2015 22:40

I'm about 3 episodes behind - I've recorded them, but just haven't gotten around to watching them. I really want the SA race to be over, I'm finding it really boring and prefer Alicia as a lawyer.

polyhymnia · 30/04/2015 22:41

I loved tonight's episode . Thought it was clever and funny ( sometimes bitter sweet ). Do agree though that don't want to lose the courtroom scenes in the long term.

DustBunnyFarmer · 30/04/2015 23:19

I loved the gratuitous use of dream sequences to introduce all the new men as potential lovers. And how Alicia outsourced her praying to Grace - so pragmatic!

oneowlgirl · 01/05/2015 00:28

I'm not convinced about tonight's episode at all - dream sequences are not my thing!!

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/05/2015 06:52

It does feel a bit like they've handed the reins to the Ally McBeal team this season. All we need now is a dancing baby...

fascicle · 01/05/2015 08:52

I was thinking it was an Ally McBeal homage, too (where was Barry White on Alicia's ipod?). But I really liked it (even though Will was most definitely not Will). Particularly enjoyed the playing out of the Bishop question in her mind, including the well received honest answer. But has Louis Canning pulled a fast one, or is his time nearly up?

nottheOP · 01/05/2015 13:26

I was saying to DH how it felt very Ally McBeal-y. Not a fan of last night at all. Hopefully we get a good one next week, especially if we're made to wait a bit longer!

BuzzardBird · 01/05/2015 14:48

It's a great shame that Bishop was not involved in the dream sequence bed scenes. That really would have thrown a spanner in the works.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/05/2015 14:52

I'm watching last night's episode. All this fake over acting with the sore throat is ridiculous Hmm last week it was like a pantomime and this week is just as bad! HOW can we have weeks of fantastic episodes about Cary/ jail etc and now this shit?!

SpanishFly · 01/05/2015 17:37

The show deserves so much better than 2 time-filler episodes. I didn't enjoy either of them, yet previously it was my favourite programme.
What was the laryngitis shite all about? What was the purpose of that?

Travelledtheworld · 01/05/2015 18:44

Watching on catch up. I enjoyed the flipping between reality and fantasy for the first 20 mins and then after that it just got annoying......

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/05/2015 20:14

They need to get their act together soon or DH and I will get very, very cross with them. Feels like one bum note after another at the mo.

Howaboutthisone · 01/05/2015 22:39

I've just caught up on last nights episode and am wondering why I bothered. I'm such a fan of the show but this episode was dire in my opinion. I hope we're back to normal next week! What's this talk of time move? I didn't see any mention of that.

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/05/2015 23:52

It was when the announcer talks over the credits. There is some election luvvy special at 9pm on More4 next week with Dame Judy Dench and Catherine Tate. Because that's exactly what we need after 3 months' election tedium, the one thing we might watch to escape the wall-to-wall coverage on every other channel... Hmm

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/05/2015 23:54

Humph. Posted too soon

the one thing we might watch to escape the wall-to-wall coverage on every other channel bumped by yet more election tedium

fascicle · 02/05/2015 10:35

I'm looking forward to the play. Stellar cast, live from the Donmar Warehouse. I think it's a bit weird to schedule it on election night, rather than in the run up, though. If people are interested in the election, they'll probably be watching the real thing unfold, and if they're not interested, they might not want to watch a play about it.

DustBunnyFarmer · 02/05/2015 16:34

Perfectly put.

Howaboutthisone · 02/05/2015 17:17

Agreed! Something like that the night before an election or week before would make more sense!

candykane25 · 03/05/2015 00:09

I really liked this episode. It reminded me of my own head when I'm overstretched and trying to keep too many people happy.
The laryngitis thing I think was just a plot device to help us distinguish between the shifts in scenes - like when a man has a beard in flashbacks. Either that or Juliane margulies had a sore throat in real life when filming!
I hate any messing with the scheduling of The Good Wife. It's my only don't disturb me telly.

BadgersArse · 03/05/2015 00:14
