I'm waiting for DH to get back from a parish council meeting before we indulge ourselves.

SocialMediaAddict · 09/02/2015 20:09

Just about to watch it.

bilbodog · 09/02/2015 20:58

I'm loving it already .... Tuesdays will be the best day of the week

Fanfeckintastic · 09/02/2015 21:08

I love it already!

tedmundo · 09/02/2015 22:20

Ok .. That is a keeper!

Love the skateboarding twins (the Jesse sidekick of this show?)

HumphreyCobbler · 09/02/2015 22:21

Thought it was great.

Cooroo · 09/02/2015 22:42

A very solid first ep. I got a bit confused about Chuck. I get he's Jimmy's brother but what's his story? Loved Mike and Tuco.

skillsandtea · 09/02/2015 22:51

Loved it too. But I'm missing something important.. Why is he called Jimmy?

ProfessorProfessorson · 09/02/2015 23:20

Yes, enjoyed that a lot.

Is Chuck his brother? Seems kind of old, I mean, he could be a brother, still...or an uncle perhaps?

Skills Jimmy is his real name. There was some mention in Breaking Bad about Saul Goodman being a name he made up for himself.

(What was the prologue about? Is that him after the events of Breaking Bad?)

monkeysaymoo · 09/02/2015 23:21

Chocbic you can watch it here

molyholy · 09/02/2015 23:26

Just watched. Loved it. Can't wait for the next installment. Also as a pp said, the skateboarding twins did remind me of jesse, bitch. Loved the very end. You can see the beginnings of 'saul' and the seedy path. I hoped it wouldn't disappoint cos breaking bad was THE best. But it did not.

BOFster · 10/02/2015 00:33

Bloody marvellous. Loved it.

Cooroo · 10/02/2015 06:25

Professor - yes, I think the prologue was the 'present'. He talked about ending up managing a Cinnabon (looked nice!). And he was obviously worried about being recognised.

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 10/02/2015 10:26

Definitely the present Professor. They focussed very much on the hair, or lack of it, in the present. Albeit, his watching a video threw me a bit.

It does seem to be shaping up into something good but watching it week on week rather than binge-viewing like BB is going to be hard.

satsumasunrise · 10/02/2015 10:31

I really enjoyed it. Was the man at the end in Breaking Bad?

WilsonWilsonWoman · 10/02/2015 10:35

Yes satsuma this is how he met and got involved with Tucco!

skillsandtea · 10/02/2015 10:40

Thanks Professor. Don't know how I missed that one!

satsumasunrise · 10/02/2015 11:44

It's so long since I've seen BB I couldn't remember who was who.

fustybritches · 10/02/2015 11:51

So far it's a very similar storyline to the first episode offered BB:

Man is cheated out of wealth
Plies his trade but is faced with financial ruin
Joins up with a younger sidekick(s) to pursue an illegal version of his trade.
Is immediately in out of his depth with a dangerous drug dealer.

Still loved it though!

GatoradeMeBitch · 10/02/2015 13:11

I loved it. I loved the setting as much as what went on. There's nothing like that scenery is there? And the way it's filmed is stunning - the bin kicking and smoking scene was gorgeous to look at.

I hated Tuco, so after the initial OMG moment I'm pissed off that he may feature heavily. Awesome to see Mike again though Smile

Was anyone else wondering what Walter and Jesse would have been doing at that time? I can see myself staring into every passing car trying to catch a sneaky cameo!

MarshaBrady · 10/02/2015 13:12

It's very well shot. The light is incredible - eg smoking scene.

MessyRedHairSoThere · 10/02/2015 13:13

wow, that's great news. I will be finished the rubbish I'm watching soon so llgood to know that Call Saul is on netflix!

HoraceCope · 10/02/2015 13:45

you don;t surely have to watch it week by week? can you save up the episodes for binging?

Cooroo · 10/02/2015 19:11

Episode 2 is now on Netflix. But after that it's one a week I'm afraid!

Cooroo · 10/02/2015 21:05

... And a cracking episode it was!
