Ok- so we know it has been pretty rubbish, and we are hard pushed to remember who won last year. We hate ourselves for watching- and it doesn't help that Rita Ora has taken over the 'annoying female judge' spot'. Bill.Je.Suis, S'Tom, and Rickaaaay are back though.

But I know I will end up watching.Grin

'Highlight' tonight includes a performance by none other than the daughter of the one from Hear'say who ended up in Corrie. Whose name escapes me. Oh, and someone who has already had a top 40 hit.

It starts at 7pm. That's a bit early. I have no Wine
Sad

If Rita had played her cards righterer, she could have been Kim Kardashian's SIL. She dated her brother.
She also dated Calvin Harris 9 and supposedly cheated on him. She supposedly cheats on everyone, (and 'shags for tracks')and he took away all the songs that he had written or produced for her, so her album was decimated.

She's now dating Tommy Hilfiger ' s son.

TheFairyCaravan · 10/01/2015 19:11

I'm only watching it because Stars in your eyes is on the other side! Hmm

Raahh · 10/01/2015 19:11

The alternative is 'Stars in their Eyes'. i can't stand Harry Hill.

Go with S'Tom.

Ohhh eye rolls, I might like Rita.

CalamitouslyWrong · 10/01/2015 19:12

Fame academy would have been ok, except that there were a lot of group performances to endure.

Frozenchipsareawful · 10/01/2015 19:12

I loved fame academy - .lemarr was very good. Radio two played one of his tracks one day, he had a great voice. It was better than this.!

Raahh · 10/01/2015 19:12

Zebra- she sounds lovely. Isn't an MN-er Calvin's sister?

Awful tv this evening. Who the hell is Ricky?

Cocolepew · 10/01/2015 19:12

Dammit I liked Stars In Their Eyes.

BOFster · 10/01/2015 19:13

This is excruciating. And I keep thinking of Mama Cass and her untimely demise.

hugoagogo · 10/01/2015 19:13

She was totally milking her part there.

Raahh · 10/01/2015 19:13

I like the idea of writing their own stuff, for Fame Academy. And I did like Alex Park(?) who won. But, as with this, they didn't do anything with her, and she disappeared.

BOF- i was avoiding chicken bone related jokes...

I loved Ainslie Henderson from Fame Academy. I have his album :-)

Cocolepew · 10/01/2015 19:14

I prefer it when they stand there looking petrified.

CalamitouslyWrong · 10/01/2015 19:14

They don't have drag this out, do they. It's as bad as xfactor, except theyve no reason to spin it out for the ad breaks in bbc1.

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 10/01/2015 19:14

Oooh hello everyone. I've only just switched over, was that last one any good?

BOFster · 10/01/2015 19:14

Someone linked to quite a sad article about Alex Parks last time. I think she had a breakdown.

Frozenchipsareawful · 10/01/2015 19:15

Alex was good. It was a format that didnt work with the public, thy seemed to prefer x factor i think. Carrie does bits on the one show.

CalamitouslyWrong · 10/01/2015 19:15

Thinking about it, fame academy was a much better idea than xfactor. Why on earth did xfactor prove more popular? I remember thinking the same at the time, actually.

Raahh · 10/01/2015 19:16

It feels even more dragged out, because we don't have the ads to liven it up.

Selling ice cream? Oh dear.

How bloody far do they have to walk?

TheSpottedZebra · 10/01/2015 19:16

Rahh yes she was. Is she still about?

Raahh · 10/01/2015 19:16

Opera acts never work. They don't know what to do with them.
