Ladies - can I advise against Downton (aka Highclere Castle)? I went there in September - unbelievably disappointed. They were money grabbing so and so's. The staff were extremely stuck up. Bearing in mind 99% of the visitors were there due to the popularity of Downton, they were less than accommodating. They looked down their noses and said "This is a home, not a film set" and charged us £20 each for the privilege. There was so little reference to Downton as well.

As an aside, Barrow from Downton's brother works in my office.

I had assumed that the cap badges etc were from a made up regiment.

Off to the Lake District tomorrow so need to check on the weather. BBC online is saying rain but the local news is forecasting snow and the only time I would want to be holed up in the Lakes in snow (and unable to get home) is with CJ. The scene would be similar to the Canadian one we discussed a few pages back.

DH out tonight and eldest at sleepover with his friends. If I can convince toddler to go to sleep at decent time I might actually get an evening to myself!!

I didn't realise James Mc was on Graham Norton last night I will have to check out on the iplayer, I do really like him, but he is tiny, but then so am I!!! Uncycling would be fun, especially as it would be in a ring which would make it easy to go round and round. Naked, No! Like cjwoof said too many potential injuries and we don't want to be wasting ointment and gauze on the side attraction opposed to the main event!

Nigel Harman, yes he could carry a tray of canapé, have we thought about Michael Fasbender and Mark Strong?

It's highly likely their cap badge is made up - particularly given the name of the regiment is never mentioned.

I would be quite happy to guard the unicycles and Damian Lewis' coat I am fairly familiar with the inside of it (from my lovely dream....) honestly how tame is that? -the best dream I've had in ages was about the inside of a
coat -literally!!!

Oh and I don't know if this has been linked to before, but I found First Light (the RAF film BA did) to watch online through Vimeo. I know this contravenes the general consensus, but I can see the appeal of him fresh-faced and slim. The uniform helps too! Obviously prefer him in OG, but if you need a BA fix look no further...

Blimey, I've missed a lot today! Mark Strong is a def contender for wrestling or maybe adjudicating cos he's got a very commanding manner. Could I suggest David Morrissey in his South Riding incarnation? He was very brooding and tormented so would bring a certain anguish to his wrestling. And a big yes to Tom Hardy...
I like the idea of a grand stately home type venue (but slightly delapidated as it's more atmospheric) - floor length silvered, tarnished mirrors, chandeliers and the like.

If the mirrors are positioned correctly they would reflect an endless line of naked CJs...

Just going back to the sound clips (sorry I'm way behind here) - I love the bit when CJ is on the radio to Molly while she's calming Bashira wearing the suicide vest. I love his breathlessness as he talks to her - any chance of adding this one elsie?? (Or is this one just me...!)

orphan Yes to old style mirrors, all crackly and vintage. In candle light he will look delicious! Mark strong compare/ come adjudicated. I will bribe him to make sure CJ wins (I'm not divulging what I'm doing to bribe him!!!) Tom Hardy would be good as a bouncer type, to stop the mad FB lot pushing in to the front row!

I spent an hour and more today trying to get people help people by birdy as my ring tone and failed. Can you do it elsie ? Just the first 30 secs? Really love it
