Well back from parent evening (started at 4.45) and really not as bad as it could of been, running thread throughout the eve was silly mistakes, lack of revision. Think this has been a kick up back side. So now a slightly more smiley RichTea :)

CJ would be an Outdoor Bread Free Range Pork Sausage, whereas Damian Lewis and Nicholas Witchall, are more Richmond .... Pale uninteresting and lack of genuine meat!

Richtea19 · 08/01/2015 19:28

Perhaps uninteresting is unfair? Just no comparison to 100% meat

icemistOBE · 08/01/2015 19:33

The Lewis episode eith BA is on itv 3 on Sunday 17:55 although he is a little young in it for my liking - taping it anyway

Richtea19 · 08/01/2015 19:38

Yes he very young in it. In found it on sky on a box set thing. I will watch it again though!

Nickel45 · 08/01/2015 20:04

Flipping 'eck icemist you are the font of all BA knowledge!

richtea so pleased things seem better after the parents evening.

I'm off out for the evening, but so shattered not really looking forward to it ... I'm such an unsociable sod! I'm going to try and resist the urge to see what you are up to, so have a boring evening!! Jokes! I'll look forward to coming back and seeing who else will be included in the naked blindfold fireside wrestling (yeah, still can't get that image outta my nut!).

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 20:05

Goodness so much fun about Damian Lewis and the sausage. I hate to break into this and ask a semi serious question but there could be some relevance regarding the topic.

Any of the FF writers out there - what's your understanding of the difference between the T and the M rating. Don't want to get all your hopes up too much regarding QS here its just I'm struggling a bit to decide what the difference between minor adult suggestive themes and non-explicit suggestive adult themes is. (Is one suggesting but not saying outright what its about whilst the other is being open about what it is but not being explicit!!) Apparently explicit stuff is supposed to be MA rated.

Basically T rating says anyone over 13 and M over 16. I don't suppose it will matter that much and I can't imagine many 13-16 year olds not having seen pretty much everything on TV - a lot more than I'm likely to ever describe.

Actually on that subject and not wishing to sound like Mary Whitehouse, does anyone think there should be a 10pm watershed on some stuff. I know the BBC doesn't do bad language etc for the first 10 minutes after 9pm but I can't help thinking some of it should be post 10 pm. I keep watching things on +1 because I don't want an 11 year old seeing it - well not yet!

Any thoughts gratefully received. Probably over thinking it but would like your opinion as I don't really want to re-rate my story so I'm wondering how much I can get away with within the boundaries! Seriously, please DON'T get your hopes up I don't want to disappoint - memories of editing the Bath Kiss again!!!

moojangles · 08/01/2015 20:05

Experts required-there is a pic of BA in v floral shirt with full on curls snogging a bloke, sure it's 'our' BA-any ideas?!

Nickel45 · 08/01/2015 20:09

mooj that's not the image I want in my head (I think it is him ... One of his first roles, cant remember what, someone will know ... icemst?!).

rhubarb maybe you should post it on here first, so we can rate it?! :)

Must go, am late now!!

Richtea19 · 08/01/2015 20:12

mooj I think it was the role he played in "toast" it was about Nigel Slater, could be wrong? icemistwill know for sure.

pixieg1rl · 08/01/2015 20:17

Rhubarb I think T would be suggestive of the act really. Sort of leave it at the bedroom door, or describing the feelings in an emotional way, rather than physical. M more explicit, more physical description, without full graphic detail.

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 20:19

Oh Nickel I couldn't do that. I'm sure it would never live up to what you've come to expect elsewhere. The rating would probably be "pants" but you'd be too polite to say so!!

(I'm also not sure if you're allowed to do that. There's something in the guidelines about not posting the same thing on more than one site - probably not enforced though!)

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 20:24

pixie thanks for that. That's kind of what I was thinking. Its a bit of a borderline area really.

pixieg1rl · 08/01/2015 20:30

I don't know how much is moderated, they might look into complaints and take down stuff in response.

In a vaguely related aside, my first ever experience of ff (and I have no idea if it was on this ff site) was someone who wrote in very graphic detail about having sex with Thomas the Tank Engine. There are things in life once seen you can't take back, and that is one of them.

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 20:33

Thomas the Tank Engine and sex in the same sentence? I am speechless!

icemistOBE · 08/01/2015 20:34

Richtea is correct- it's 'Toast' he's only in it for few scenes.

Lewis- I know because one of the ladies I chat to in Twitter tweeted it.

Still no autograph....Sad

OP posts:
icemistOBE · 08/01/2015 20:34

Omg! That's insane!!!!!!

OP posts:
pixieg1rl · 08/01/2015 20:40

He was doing stuff to Thomas' boiler you wouldn't think would bring any sort of sexual gratification....

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 20:46

Oh well I've come to conclusion that if I ever decide to do something M rated I'd better employ some QS consultants and I know where the find them!

Onlygirljen · 08/01/2015 20:54

rhubarb I'd go with what pixie said. I take M to be physical description of the act itself, whereas description of the emotional aspect is more T rated? It's a fine line - I wasn't sure how to rate my new one for that reason.

moojangles · 08/01/2015 21:01

SPO posted a new chapter

Nickel45 · 08/01/2015 21:02

Well haven't managed to stay away (although having read about Thomas I kinda wish I had!!) But did just, rather embarrassingly, walk into the wall, as there was a tall guy in the bar in blue shirt and stubble. And I'm not even drinking!! Must stay focused ...

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 21:04

Thanks onlygirl. Its difficult having these ratings. Much less of a problem when people write real books and don't have to give any rating. Its all considered fair game and for adults although bizarrely any child can take an adult book out of the library and read it. I suppose its just because of the internet.

Onlygirljen · 08/01/2015 21:05

OMG how did I miss the mention of Thomas the tank engine smut? Bloody hell. I'm actually speechless.

Rhubarb01 · 08/01/2015 21:06

Oh Nickel another point for me to consider in relation to whether I should change my phone. I can be quite clumsy. It could be risky for my health!!

icemistOBE · 08/01/2015 21:08

Lol! CJ has a ring tone that is very familiar...,
