I was wondering about disability benefits etc.

iklboo · 22/01/2015 09:53

Nearly £1000 is a hell of a drop - with NO guarantee she will be well, be able to work etc.

The husband's eyes are saying it all.

loveliesbleeding1 · 22/01/2015 09:54

How on earth will the dad raise an extra 12 thou a year, so unrealistic of her to say she feels better and will be able to work.

dontmixthecolours · 22/01/2015 09:55

I think she's massively unrealistic. I understand that the thought of being well is hugely attractive but there are no guarantees

dontmixthecolours · 22/01/2015 09:55

They're going according to the update

MistyMeena · 22/01/2015 09:56

Don't we all feel better on holiday? In the sun?

dillite · 22/01/2015 09:58

Do the producers choose where the family goes or the families themselves?

ShatnersBassoon · 22/01/2015 09:59

Yes, I feel much more inclined to play on the beach when I'm on holiday. If I lived 'on holiday' though, I'd soon be saying "You go, I've got ironing to do."

forago · 22/01/2015 09:59

one thing that gets me about this program is the omg the shopping is £20 quid a week more! its just one supermarket, you can surely shop around, go to Costco, eat out less etc like anyone could. and the other partners could surely manage a bit of part time work to compensate if they didn't work in the UK

dillite · 22/01/2015 10:00

Let's hope it works out for them.

iklboo · 22/01/2015 10:03

They could grow their own, keep chooks (Smile) etc with some of those gardens. That'd knock the costs down.

Bakeoffcakes · 22/01/2015 10:20

At the beginning she said her Drs had told her that if she moved to a warm climate her health would drastically improve.

The husband was amazing wasn't he? Working, caring for his wife and children. I hope it works out for them.

DreamingOfEnjoyingSalad · 22/01/2015 10:22

They appear a great family.

TrendStopper · 22/01/2015 11:09

They are going. Just waiting on visas.

iklboo · 22/01/2015 11:11

I hope it works out for them. They seemed a really close family.

puthyjip43 · 22/01/2015 12:34

Why do people think if they move to aus they will have do much more spare time? We still work here, it's really no different to the uk- if anything the hours are longer!

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 22/01/2015 13:07

I did like that little girl

when the rellies were saying how she knew her own mind or some such for one so small

'I'm NOT small'

I think quite a lot of people are fed up with day to day mundane life which lets face it is kind of the situation a lot of us find ourselves in and they think that if they emigrate it will solve all their problems but of course it won't. It isn't a life long holiday, if you didn't have to work then you could probably live happily in lots of places but for the vast majority of people they will still have to go to work and school and do the same day to day stuff they would have done here.

susiedaisy · 23/01/2015 09:22

Anyone watching?

DreamingOfAHotDrink · 23/01/2015 09:23

He won't move, despite agreeing that he would years ago.

susiedaisy · 23/01/2015 09:23

Can't see a happy ending for this one. Both pulling in different directions

ClaimedByMe · 23/01/2015 09:24

Me!! I dont think this one will end well...

susiedaisy · 23/01/2015 09:24

No I don't think he will either

sailorsgal · 23/01/2015 09:25
