'Imagine having all our friends over from the UK and having a barbecue'. Yes, i expect your UK friends will always be popping over for a barbie!

And what is the obsession with walk on wardrobe?

turningvioletviolet · 20/01/2015 09:37

I'm just gob smacked about them having a £1,500 monthly rental budget. I preferred the second house which she hated (obviously it doesn't matter about my tastes).

Anyhow, she definitely will not want to go in the end.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 20/01/2015 09:45

those Nicky Popidol links she does, all on the same day, in the same place, but in different frocks

is she really in Australia, do we think?

purplefeathers · 20/01/2015 09:45

I thought £1500 was an awful lot for rent too.

Sparklingbrook · 20/01/2015 09:56

Sad This is awful.

Vagndidit · 20/01/2015 09:58

He's an ass. Let him go, luv.

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 20/01/2015 09:58

She doesn't want to go! Ffs!

Sparklingbrook · 20/01/2015 09:59

Wishy washy ending.

LegsOfSteel · 20/01/2015 09:59

I kind of missed what his job was - telecoms - but doing what? He is paid about £70k here it seems.
The second house appeared quite dark but generally I liked it.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 20/01/2015 10:00

His comments to her were awful.

Update:-

After voting undecided at the end of the programme, Amy has now come round to the idea of following Rob's dream and starting a new life in Australia.

The couple stayed in Adelaide for a while after filming had finished, and arranged some job interviews. Although they didn’t secure an offer of employment while down under, since returning home, Rob has continued to have job interviews with potential Australian employers over the Internet.

The couple are widening their career search outside the Adelaide area, and if successful in securing work are hoping to make the move down under within the next six months.

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 20/01/2015 10:03

I would have decapitated him with that bloody laminated card! "you need to decide what YOU are going to do" Sad

iklboo · 20/01/2015 10:03

Her mum was quite 'guilt trippy' though.

'she breathes in, I breathe out'
'I'll be at the airport long before I should be to get you home'.

No wonder she was undecided.

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 20/01/2015 10:05

Guilt tripped from all sides poor woman.

NancyJones · 20/01/2015 10:09

I likes her floaty baggy dress thingy though. Where can I get me one of those?
This is the first of the series I've watched. The others are stacked up on sky+.

shakemysilliesout · 20/01/2015 10:54

Hmmm I feel like she wanted to take her vows seriously but committing to his dream is no way to live. Without being dramatic maybe they shouldn't have married if he held this dream.

My dad was the same as this bloke. It ended my parents marriage as mum wouldn't leave as she liked her job and our schools in uk. Maybe these guys should cut their losses before having kids.

Gosh I've really written them off haven't I?!?!

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 20/01/2015 11:24

shake That crossed my mind too he seemed quite angry she was undecided! Hope it works out for them. or she runs off with a surfer dude called Brad

iklboo · 20/01/2015 16:05

YY - it was ok for him to be 'undecided' when he found out he may be earning less, but she would be earning nearly double UK wage. But the minute she was undecided it was a 'cop out'.

TrendStopper · 20/01/2015 18:21

I think he is getting a bit of a hard time. From what I heard it sounded like they had a previous off screen conversation about the flip cards where he said that he wouldn't do that.

iklboo · 20/01/2015 20:24

He did it first - when he found out he might be taking a pay cut.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 21/01/2015 09:31

awwwwww they're so YOUNG awwwww

why are they taking them to Auckland, if it's really expensive?

sailorsgal · 21/01/2015 09:32

I think I would stay in Wales.

OP posts:
EveDallasRetd · 21/01/2015 09:33

This is ridiculous. Why on earth would the programme makers take them to Aukland. Set up. Not a chance they'd go.

sailorsgal · 21/01/2015 09:34

Yes they are sooo young! I want to work less and live more and I am 49 50Wink

OP posts:
Ememem84 · 21/01/2015 09:35

So young. What are they doing for jobs?

No idea why they're showing them Auckland.

sailorsgal · 21/01/2015 09:35

is this the dream home? ???
