My Judgy pants are on and I am thinking if must earn a fair wedge working abroad for 10 months.. Why doesn't she work part time to ease the pressure on family life.. I'm about 10 min behind so they may have covered it

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2015 09:38

No pressure Wayne.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 14/01/2015 09:38

I missed the beginning!

why does dad work 0000s of miles away?

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:40

Ffs why are they so hung up about the house?? I thought people move to Australia for quality of life, as in more free time to chill and spend with each other why do they all keep on about the house.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 14/01/2015 09:40

ooh bloody hell poor them

I threw regular shit fits when my oh worked in fucking Banbury

Hillingdon · 14/01/2015 09:41

Is it just me but I am getting a bit tired of people who have totally unrealistic expectations... That last house for 643k (surely it wasnt going to be cheap)...

What about showing people who have reasonable salaries and who both work as opposed to what has been happening so far in the series. Also would like to see houses circa 500-700k and people's salaries to match this sort of house and lifestyle

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:41

Muddy, his jobs is specialised not much call for it in the UK

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2015 09:42

Grin Muddha. Banbury.

DH went on a week long course in Leicester, I was evil.

floellabenjaminsearrings · 14/01/2015 09:43

Not sure what I think about these two.

I take his point that if they are going to do it, they should be able to have everything on the wish list, but why did they show them a six bed house when they only wanted a four bed? Of course it it going to be over budget.

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:43

Their dream would be easy to obtain if they chose a realistic house and stopped dreaming of swimming pools etc etc

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2015 09:44

They are annoying me a bit but not sure why.

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:44

They earn a lot in the UK I think, which is why they have such high expectations

Vagndidit · 14/01/2015 09:45

Am a bit envious of those schools. UK schools seem so drab by comparison.

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2015 09:45

Oooh surfing. Because you can't do that in Cornwall. Oh no.

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:46

I hope they get on well when they are suddenly living together for 12 months of the yearWink

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 14/01/2015 09:46

they show them a rlly expensive 6 bed house they can't afford BECAUSE WE LOVE IT Grin

they should totally do it (I never say that)

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 14/01/2015 09:47

ROAR susie that's exactly what I was thinking

floellabenjaminsearrings · 14/01/2015 09:47

vagndidit I know what you mean about the schools. I was thinking that about the hospitals too.

Hillingdon · 14/01/2015 09:48

I agree, certainly she seems to have a sense of entitlement. She would offshore him certainly if it meant they could have that last house!

She definitely wants to go. Wonder if they do in the end....

As a teacher would she earn that much?

Ememem84 · 14/01/2015 09:48

i love WDU. it makes me laugh that they think because its nice in Aussie or NZ in our winter it will be like that all the time.

I also love how they go out on family bike rides, picnics, spend quality family time together for a week, and all exclaim " we could do this all the time if we lived here" (yeah except you'd be doing the same things you do at home in the uK - work, food shopping, cooking cleaning, school run etc - and you haven't got time at present to go on bike rides....)

MIL has recently moved down under and is marvelling at the fact that she can leave work, be home in 20 minutes and then its a 10 minute drive/20 minute walk to the beach so she can go sea swimming after work.

We are in channel islands. We do that here in the summer. I don't think she ever did it when she lived here.

Hillingdon · 14/01/2015 09:48

Stand by, their house is being valued!

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:48

Estate agents a pratt

floellabenjaminsearrings · 14/01/2015 09:49

I love how all the people who own homes on this have identikit decor

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2015 09:49

Envy at their UK house.

susiedaisy · 14/01/2015 09:49

Bloody hell what a difference
