Despite the theme, I am disappointed 'Don't let the sun.' isn't the Nik Kershaw song 'I won't let the sun...' Wouldn't be unusual for Louis to completely mess up the theme, after all.

My eldest listens to radio one in his van out and about at work. they interviewed the daughter of the shouty man on the Sunday results show who is a big OTY fan. I was disappointed when he said he missed it!
I agree that Simon is not a Pugs fan. I wished they find more relevant artists - neither of these have had a hit in years ( yes, i know Whitney died 2 and half years ago!) these kids are too young for these songs really. Wonder if Cheryl is pregnant? Might get a decent judge next year in that case.

I don't get the constant obsession with Whitney. Yes she had a great pair of pipes and could belt out the notes but she never sang a decent song in her life.

Out of the four Whitters numbers being warbled tonight, two of them are cover versions. Says it all really.

Squoosh, yes, agree she was over rated. I prefer Dolly Partons version of i will always love you, she also wrote it too of course! Mind you, i cant sing a note so i do envy anyone who do these big songs and not sound like a strangled cat.
