All the usual suspects, song-wise, are present. Even managing to shoe-horn 'I'm every woman' in, even though it's a cover.
Looking forward to Lamenting Lozza, making HWIK sound like a funeral march.

Despite the theme, I am disappointed 'Don't let the sun.' isn't the Nik Kershaw song 'I won't let the sun...' Wouldn't be unusual for Louis to completely mess up the theme, after allGrin.

And it's a double elimination. Will Melty 'still be standing' by Monday? Will the fact OTY are doing something grown up and serious for once , be their downfall?

See y'all later. I am in homework hell. Is it too early for Wine?

There were two types of Gregg's for a bit, but the whole posh Gregg's thing seemed to fail.

Our Gregg's was the flagship posh Gregg's because it was the first shop ever (although, they've probably changed unit on the high street a few times in the intervening years)

nancy75 · 22/11/2014 21:49

my closest farmfoods is 13.7 miles away - it's a bit far to go for a dime bar

TheFairyCaravan · 22/11/2014 21:51

Ours is about that far nancy, but then so is Iceland, Lidl, Aldi, Asda etc so it's no biggie really.

CyclopsBee · 22/11/2014 21:52

We saw a Greggs in Lanzarote
It had the Greggs sign and colours but it was a pet food/reptile shop
Confused

nancy75 · 22/11/2014 21:52

Fairy where do you live??? If I drive 13 miles i will probably pass about 100 supermarkets!

CalamitouslyWrong · 22/11/2014 21:54

Google tells me that farmfoods is based in Cumbernauld. That explains everything.

We have 3 branches within 10 miles of our house apparently.

squoosh · 22/11/2014 21:54

Bet what they were selling tasted better Cyclops.

squoosh · 22/11/2014 21:54

where do you live Calam?

CalamitouslyWrong · 22/11/2014 21:55

I live in chezza's home town.

dillite · 22/11/2014 21:55

There's a posh Greggs somewhere? Why do I never know anything about anything?

CyclopsBee · 22/11/2014 21:56

I've got a photo somewhere, DS was most dissappointed it wasn't a real Greggs
And, I've never seen a Farmfoods!

CalamitouslyWrong · 22/11/2014 21:57

However, I had the misfortune to be taken to Cumbernauld several times as a child (it's impressed on my memory, it was so awful).

CalamitouslyWrong · 22/11/2014 21:59

The posh Greggs experiment. It didn't take off.

Although I think the branch is still naicer than your average greggs.

squoosh · 22/11/2014 22:01

Cumbernauld is indeed grimsville.

nancy75 · 22/11/2014 22:01

so what did posh greggs sell?

snice · 22/11/2014 22:04

farmfoods sells incredibly cheap ice creams and lollies and also cheap Quorn/Linda McC stuff randomly

CalamitouslyWrong · 22/11/2014 22:06

A posh Greggs had the usual stuff but extra naice cupcakes and baskets of bread, and they'd make your sandwich up for you to your specification. And they had a bike on the wall.

At the same time they were making the not posh Greggs look even cheaper by doing that hideous yellow rebranding thing.

As a child I got to regularly visit the shopping centres of Clydebank, East kilbride and even the pollok centre. Yet, Cumbernauld town centre really stands out for being grim. Whether or not it's actually true I remember it as (even) more grim than the pollok centre.

TheFairyCaravan · 22/11/2014 22:10

I live in the arse end of nowhere Nancy. We don't even have a McDonalds in our county!

dillite · 22/11/2014 22:18

There's a county with no McDonalds Shock! Do you at least have a 99p store?

nancy75 · 22/11/2014 22:19

I am shocked at the thought of a whole county with no McDonalds - Do you live in North Korea?

squoosh · 22/11/2014 22:20

I'm AMAZED at the thought of a McDonald-less county.

LittleBairn · 22/11/2014 23:15

Calamity I rather miss the Pollock Centre with its amazing cuckoo Clock. Blush

Frozenchipsareawful · 22/11/2014 23:22

Had vistors, so have to watch tomorrow. However, eldest son has just got home and suggested Joy division v Mcfly! It all sounded bad ( from reading the comments.)
Giraffe, many congrats, hope your ok.

Frozenchipsareawful · 22/11/2014 23:27

Ps, live fairly close to a mcdonalds and not too far from a farmfoods! We feel priviliged to live in such a fab country.
