There were two types of Gregg's for a bit, but the whole posh Gregg's thing seemed to fail.

Our Gregg's was the flagship posh Gregg's because it was the first shop ever (although, they've probably changed unit on the high street a few times in the intervening years)

my closest farmfoods is 13.7 miles away - it's a bit far to go for a dime bar

Ours is about that far nancy, but then so is Iceland, Lidl, Aldi, Asda etc so it's no biggie really.

We saw a Greggs in Lanzarote

Google tells me that farmfoods is based in Cumbernauld. That explains everything.

However, I had the misfortune to be taken to Cumbernauld several times as a child (it's impressed on my memory, it was so awful).

The posh Greggs experiment. It didn't take off.

Although I think the branch is still naicer than your average greggs.

farmfoods sells incredibly cheap ice creams and lollies and also cheap Quorn/Linda McC stuff randomly

A posh Greggs had the usual stuff but extra naice cupcakes and baskets of bread, and they'd make your sandwich up for you to your specification. And they had a bike on the wall.

At the same time they were making the not posh Greggs look even cheaper by doing that hideous yellow rebranding thing.

As a child I got to regularly visit the shopping centres of Clydebank, East kilbride and even the pollok centre. Yet, Cumbernauld town centre really stands out for being grim. Whether or not it's actually true I remember it as (even) more grim than the pollok centre.

I live in the arse end of nowhere Nancy. We don't even have a McDonalds in our county!
