Can you tell I am excited? Grin

I have five words.

DO. NOT. KILL. THE. BABY.

Or Glenn.
However please feel free to kill off annoying soppy Beth. Quickly.

imagine this?!
Nightmare!

Monroe · 04/11/2014 12:34

I thought the timelines had caught up. So beth has been at the hospital a few weeks (?) whilst Daryl was with the "claimed" group, then Rick then terminus.

If I remember rightly the guv attacked the prison the day after Rick banished Carol and she found Tyreese and the girls pretty quickly as if she was waiting nearby so even though she didn't appear in the eps not much time had actually passed.

I think her and Daryl were catching up with the car, got in some sort of trouble and Carol has been nabbed. Meanwhile Daryl meets the just escaped Noah he gives him the low down and he realises it will take more than just him and his crossbow, no matter how awesome, to break in and get his girls back so he heads back to fetch reinforcements

Aridane · 04/11/2014 12:45

There was a lot of Beth love on The Talking Dead - with her being regarded as quite a bright strong character. But she did come across as a bit vapid on the talk show.

Funny if it is Beth who rescues Carol from the hospital!!

anonacfr · 04/11/2014 13:04

I tell you the writers love her. We're stuck with her forever. Sad

The sinister crosses on the cars I presume are supposed to be like an ambulance/first aid symbol... I thought it was a good episode, I guess it's kind of getting a bit of an old trope now though: find a new place which on first appearances seems civilised, clean and safe, but is really sinister, rotten at its core, and run by a power mad nutter (Woodbury, Terminus, and now the hospital, even Herschel's farm to some extent with the walkers in the barn). However I do still enjoy watching the story and new evil characters unfold.

I personally thought Beth was surprisingly strong and badass in this episode, she's really developed, wouldn't have been that brave or skilled before - now she managed to kill the pervert bastard cop guy as well as almost escape. Can't wait to see what happens with Carol...

Oh and the doctor gave me the creeps in a sort of sexy way as he seems manipulative but also maybe a teeny bit good?

Wheeeeeeeeee so glad I found this thread, love WD! Is the user named after Bob's tainted leg on this thread somewhere - saw the username on the meetup thread and love it!? :D

Abra1d · 04/11/2014 13:57

Beth showed some tactical thinking too, when she made use of the 'turning' former victim of Gorman the awful policeman to bite him and prevent him from stopping her escape, and then there was a chance one of those turn would in turn bite the female cop. It nearly worked.

I hope someone liberates the guinea pigs!

susiedaisy · 04/11/2014 15:16

I liked it. I think bet has the scope to become a really strong like link but my problem is her lack of facial expressions I can't tell if she's frightened, pissed off or thinking.

susiedaisy · 04/11/2014 15:17

Beth not bet

CheerfulYank · 04/11/2014 15:46

I'm pretty sure she'll die...get a strong episode like Hershel and then bam.

AliOh · 04/11/2014 16:49

Oh hello hello can I join.

I have no one to talk to aboutTWD in RL and im totally addicted!!

The timeline has totally thrown me off, if I'm right only a few days have passed since the MSF season 4 when the prison fell up to where they are now?

I'm predicting Beth to die in the MSF!

limitedperiodonly · 04/11/2014 17:02

MSF? What's that?

I can't work out the timelines. I always imagine that each episode follows the preceding one in a linear fashion. So it's helpful to me for people to point out that two things could be going on at the same time or maybe some point in the future.

I didn't realise that with Morgan. When I saw him pop up a couple of episodes ago I thought he was immediately behind Rick.

But he was following Gareth's mark on the tree, wasn't he?

CY just say it. You want Beth dead, don't you? Nothing to be ashamed of there.

IdaBlankenship · 04/11/2014 17:07

Not sure I liked that episode, I missed the other characters too much. I was just waiting for Daryl and Carol to show up to make it more interesting.

On another note, I was doing the ironing (rock & roll lifestyle doncha know), and thought I'd go back and watch from the first series and bloody Sky have taken it off their On Demand. Grrrrrrr.

AliOh · 04/11/2014 17:18

Mid season finale :D

I think there was only a day/night from when Rick sent carol away and the prison falling. Then a couple of days for them to all get to terminus and then breakout. So really Beth has only been at the hospital for a couple of days after she was kidnapped when she was with daryl. Carol is then brought to the hospital after she followed the car with the cross on with daryl - does that make sense?! That's how I saw it

BeyondPreparedForHell · 04/11/2014 17:39

I agree pretty much with alioh, except that i think it was longer between the prison falling and getting to terminus, few months at least.

To go back about twenty pages, i meant to say how handy cheerfulyanks ZA cabin would be in winter if they were the WWZ zombies Grin

BeyondPreparedForHell · 04/11/2014 17:41

Oh, and i think that kind of would explain why maggie hasnt been seen talking about beth - if you lose someone in the ZA for a few months (unless it was glenn), its pretty much safe to say they are dead.

limitedperiodonly · 04/11/2014 17:49

Or Morgan.

AWimbaWay · 04/11/2014 17:59

Yes, that's how I see the timeline too AliOh.

AliOh · 04/11/2014 18:10

I think because of how they focused on each group individually in the second half of last season it was like each episode was what each group was doing at the same time? Also lots of clues of their paths crossing but them not actually meeting (Beth and daryl finding the walkers that carol killed, carol and tyreese seeing the smoke from the cabin that Beth and daryl burned etc) looks like they are doing similar with the timeline this season.

CheerfulYank · 04/11/2014 18:38

BeyondPrepared you can join us if you can get here! :) Some of the islands have lighthouses which would be good sniper/watch towers.

Limited that's a hard question. I despise most of the vocal Beth/Daryl fans and it's made me really, really not like the character. But...I don't know that I really have anything against Beth herself. I think she's a bit boring but okay. Sweet enough. I do think Emily is one of the weaker actresses. I think the producers shot themselves in the foot in regards to her character by not hiring an actual teen actress.

She's my least favorite of the main characters, her or Maggie, so if anyone has to die I'd prefer it to be one of them. However I also hate the whole thing, with fans on either side baying for Beth or Carol's blood, and I don't want to be a part of that.

MamaPizza · 04/11/2014 19:02

Millie3030 DH is clever with electrics and stuff. He says we need to find some solar panels and then he can wire it up so we can charge the power tools. For defending obviously. Imagine a hammer drill going through a zombie's head Grin
And he will build some clever stuff with all the wood there.

In regards to last episode - I found it meh. Not enough zombies for my liking. I need to see more blooood!

ginnycreeper5 · 04/11/2014 19:20

Ginnycreeper5 Do you mean Morgan's son? Dwayne? Morgan told Rick that Dwayne had been killed by his mother

Yes!
Morgan said that, but he was 'out of it' at the time. So who knows?

ginnycreeper5 · 04/11/2014 19:24

I tell you the writers love her. We're stuck with her forever

She's young. The writers are probably young as well (and male).
So, Yep we're stuck with her.
Predictable

ginnycreeper5 · 04/11/2014 19:28

She's my least favorite of the main characters, her or Maggie,

I prefer Beth to Maggie. Although to be fair to both of them, neither have exactly been given brilliant storylines so far.

ginnycreeper5 · 04/11/2014 19:30

I like Beth and Maggie. The both add to the show and I hope they both stay in.

ginnycreeper5 · 04/11/2014 19:31

Meant to type - I like Beth and Carol.
