I have five words.

DO. NOT. KILL. THE. BABY.

Or Glenn.
However please feel free to kill off annoying soppy Beth. Quickly.

I love Bob. Beth could easily go and GI Ginger, Rosita and Eugene.

Of the big characters, I'd prefer it if Maggie died and left Glenn.

It has to be at least a Glenn though, doesn't it? More than a Sacha or Tyreese. Otherwise it's a cop-out. Please not Carol or Michonne. I'd rather throw Daryl under the church minibus. But it has to be a woman. They've lost too many men lately. Or maybe it will be Rick and Carol will lead.

They have to introduce new characters and let them build and I can't see myself warming to GI Ginger and Co like I have with Bob. I've really warmed to Coral though and I didn't think I'd say that.

Negan was mentioned before on this thread but I skimmed over it. Who is he or she?

No spoilers please. I know you won't, but I have an obsession with checking. I've just had an appointment at my bank where I asked the poor woman interviewing me about 20 times: 'So if I transferred money from this account to that one, I'd still have instant access?

'Yes.'

'Because I need instant access.'

'You'd have it.'

'And so if you transferred it for me I could take money out of it because I have a big bill coming up and need instant access.'

'Yes, madam. That's what Instant Access means.'

'Okay.'

'Do you want me to transfer it now, Madam?'

'If you're sure I'd have instant access.'

I think she wanted to dash my brains out.

susiedaisy · 24/10/2014 17:22

I think if Maggie dies Glenn will turn into a real badass

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2014 17:30

Maggie can die or glen

Can't be carol Rick coral or Darryl

Wishtoremainunknown · 24/10/2014 17:55

I don't want Glenn or maggie to die !!

HappyCria · 24/10/2014 18:07

See we thought Bob went out to cry because they were all drinking the wine and being an alcoholic is quite a shameful and painful secret for him.

The knife marks around the windows of the church like someone had been trying to force it open I think definitely suggests Gabriels secret is he let everyone else outside die.

limitedperiodonly · 24/10/2014 18:16

I've seen episode 3. It's a good one. I'll say no more.

Midori1999 · 24/10/2014 18:22

Limited, HOW have you seen it? I've been thing to find the synopsis online but they don't really seem to be out until Saturday this season. I'm sooooo jealous, although I've read spoilers which heavily outline what will happen.

Negan is a character from the comics. Further ahead than they are now. I'm not sure if you want me to elaborate any further at all?

limitedperiodonly · 24/10/2014 18:57

It's a site for showbiz journalists. Reviews and interviews and stuff. That's what I do.

I would never spoil. I hate spoilers. I'm very careful about it. I won't reveal what happened in The Godfather because people might not have seen it.

Because of what I do I have to look up things. The worst was checking on Michael C Hall's illness. The thing I looked up was just for him, not Dexter.

The person writing it revealed a massive spoiler for what is the best Dexter season ever, just after the first episode had aired.

I couldn't believe it. I still wonder why they did it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2014 19:14

Never Google limited ESP not dragon butter !!! Still remember that from maybe 8yrs ago

I'm still hoping sexter dexter will come
Back. Was a crap ending :(

If a main star is going to die it's got to be one of the 6 I named earlier. Others arent new

Can you imagine the tears if Darryl dies Shock

limitedperiodonly · 24/10/2014 19:37

Blondeshavemorefun Years ago a friend and I had a toss up for who was going to interview someone in the first season of 24, which is the best. We both wanted to do it and he won.

He did his research and it ruined the end. I hated losing that bet but in the long run, I'm so glad I didn't win.

There's someone I used to work with who used to vet features from a particular showbiz journalist for me before I looked at them because they were full of spoilers. She'd delete the spoilers and pass the copy on to me.

I am so grateful to her. I've recently got back in touch with her via MN. I owe her a big coffee and cake.

Monroe · 24/10/2014 20:08

You could just tell one of them was going to get captured / tortured / deaded. There were too many shared smiles and they looked far too relaxed and content in the church. The last time they looked so relaxed was in the prison with Hershal limping around on his crutches and Lori ready to drop. And we all know how that ended up Confused

I think Carol was going to leave on her own with the car. I don't think she feels she belongs anymore. I actually awwed out loud and teared up when Rick asked her if they could join her.

Can't wait to see Rick dispose of what's his face with his red handled machete Angry

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2014 20:16

Gareth

Monroe · 24/10/2014 20:23

Thank you Smile

Helgathehairy · 24/10/2014 21:41

No Dexter spoilers either please! Am watching on Netflix.

Rollergirl1 · 24/10/2014 22:49

I'm with the other person who mentioned the scene with Carol and Daryl and the car when Daryl threw the water at her and it landed at her feet. It was really odd and Carol looked like she was stifling a laugh. Both DH and I clocked it and couldn't work out what was going on. It didn't seem consistent with the rest of the scene.

I got the impression from the Season 5 trailer that Gareth is around for a while longer although I could be wrong.

Another thing I have never understood is why they completely abandon places and never go back? Like why didn't they go back to the prison once The Governor was dead and the walkers had dispersed? Surely still has to be safer than just wandering around.

Rollergirl1 · 24/10/2014 22:52

limited: i don't suppose you happen to work out of London Bridge?

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2014 23:19

Prison was over run by walkers and they couldn't stay there forever as needed to try and find a cure

BorisIsABitOfAGargoyle · 24/10/2014 23:44

I think the scene with Daryl/Carol and the water was a blooper but they decided to keep it in to show how natural they are with each other. And the scene where Rick is holding Judith before he says they will go to DC and she says something - you can hear someone laughing in the background, I think they just got on with it and it made the final cut.
I think I know who dies at the end of the season. I won't give any spoilers but this person hasn't been seen on set for a while.
Having said that there was a whole load of spoilers going on while filming S5 though early on that Glenn hadn't been seen on set, which I think now was a red herring so people didn't focus on Bob.
I've just gone back to the beginning of the series to watch the character development, especially Carol. Carol rocks, she's my hero Grin

guaranteedpersonality · 25/10/2014 03:40

Carol's and Rick's (individual) development has definitely been the best over the series.

I found the water scene genuinely amusing Grin. That's the essence of what I like about their relationship.

Monroe I don't know if you ever watched The Wire but Bob played a particularly heartrending character in that D'Angelo - as soon as I saw Bob looking happy and optimistic at the beginning of the episode I knew it was going to turn bad for him.

I'm in NZ - the promo showing here makes this weeks episode look very good. Can't wait.

Does anyone here watch The Talking Dead afterwards?

guaranteedpersonality · 25/10/2014 03:42

- tried to get as many non sequiturs in as possible Grin

Boysclothes · 25/10/2014 10:59

I hadn't twigged Bob was d'angelo!! Ok I'd like McNulty to appear now. Then there would definitely be some tree fucking.

Monroe · 25/10/2014 11:30

I haven't seen the wire but have heard it's definitely worth watching. Along with dexter, homeland, house of cards and all the other shows I want to see but never seem to have to time for.

I will NOT Google McNulty. I Googled Nagen yesterday and read some massive spoilers from the comic.

anonacfr · 25/10/2014 11:38

I think Carol is going to die. She seems to have reached an odd detachment, almost as if she realises she's gone too far to the dark side.

I have a horrible feeling Beth and Carol are going to be Darryl's yin and yang (not necessarily in a sexual relationship way). Beth is innocence and purity and Carol is toughness/inhumanity.
Carol will somehow sacrifice herself for the group/Darryl. Beth will be his future.

For the record I would HATE it if it happened. Carol is one of the most positive female characters on TV ever. She went from a cowering victimised abused housewife to a strong capable and fearless leader. I truly believe that if Rick died Carol would be the best suited to lead the group.

However, I think the general viewing public has been turned off because she's not feminine enough. Even Michonne has shown a softer side whereas Carol has turned more and more uncompromising. I totally get why and love her for it but I think a lot of people think she's too unsettling.
I think the writers have really screwed her last season.

OP posts:
anonacfr · 25/10/2014 11:39

I want to see tree fucking now.

Wouldn't it really hurt in real life? Grin

OP posts:
Abra1d · 25/10/2014 12:51

I know what you mean about Carol, but in a way, perhaps her character arc is complete (sniff!)? She has laid down her life for her friends and saved them. Perhaps she feels, at some level, she's complete: she's given her all and shown her love and redeemed herself for the killing of the flu victims in the prison.

And she'd perhaps want to 'be' with her daughter, Sophia, who died in series 2.

But I am almost sobbing at the thought of her going!
