Who exactly is Dylan?! I'm a relative newbie to Casualty and have no idea who he is or what his history is.

Dylan was a regular a while back. He's a very good doctor, good at solving 'mystery' illnesses so I think he'll get on well with Ethan, but sees nothing wrong with telling it like it is so he tends to get people's backs up but is totally unaware he's doing it. It's not on purpose, he's quite kind-hearted and loves his dog! I think he's meant to be aspie but no-one ever mentions or acknowledges that, they just go on about how he's 'difficult' and has no people skills.
He was married to another doctor in the ED but she divorced him and married someone else. He still secretly wanted to be married to her (I think!, trying hard to remember the details now) so was unhappy and left. My recall of him actually leaving is a bit hazy so maybe someone else can put me right if it was for another reason .
