I couldn't stand the character at first, but certainly warmed to him and his sarcastic stance was a well-needed antidote to the likes of Charlie et al. Good to see Zoe back too.
I still haven't worked out how Ash zipped through that medical degree and became a consultant so fast. The way he acts you'd think he was the senior member of staff.

According to Wiki he left in 96 so had enough time to retrain, don't know how quick you can get through the ranks?
