I believe it's back on Sunday. Hurray!

I really hope though that they focus more on Edith and less on Mary and her boring, all look the samey, suitors.

No TTS, the Green connection with Bacter is pure speculation because we have a lack of suspects, other than the obvious Bates

Yes! The dog should keep the name, definately! Unless it changes it's name to nibbles after mind control by the mice.

SirChenjin · 27/10/2014 17:46

The Green/Baxter connection is very plausible . Perhaps she might be the person who to stop Anna swinging....

WhereTheWildlingsAre · 27/10/2014 17:52

If there is a connection I hope she gets away with it because they have definitely set her up as a very sympathetic character.

LineRunner · 27/10/2014 17:52

To be honest, I'm not sure Baxter has an awful lot else to live for, plot-wise.

SirChenjin · 27/10/2014 17:59

Is Baxter not set to marry Moseley?

Although after last night I think he and Daisy might end off riding into the sunset to take over the farm and read Big Books together

LineRunner · 27/10/2014 18:03

Mosley is fixing Daisy with some learning.

SirChenjin · 27/10/2014 18:07

It's learning that causes babies Line - you mark my words

tribpot · 27/10/2014 18:29

charles and Tony in the same scene last night looked like a continuity error. First someone was talking to him as if he were stage left, then right. I honestly could not tell if they were both present in the scene.

LineRunner · 27/10/2014 18:49

One of them's got a slightly different face but I can't remember which one.

Abra1d · 27/10/2014 18:55

MaizieD, yes, you probably couldn't find anyone who'd ride like that. Or want to. Or horses who'd be very keen. I read it was the Italians who really brought 'modern' seats and horsemanship to Britain post WW2? Less based on hunting and more on dressage, or something like that?

I get Charles and Tony mixed up all the time.

jaynebxl · 27/10/2014 18:57

Haha johnny come lately! Too right!

WhereTheWildlingsAre · 27/10/2014 19:05

Nope, Charles is the good looking one Wink

LineRunner · 27/10/2014 19:05

I beg your pardon?

LineRunner · 27/10/2014 19:06

Sorry I've lost the plot now.

Maybe because I haven't watched it from the beginning, so haven't really invested in the whole moony, boring Edith and her baby story, but I was choking up when the farmers wife had Marigold taken off her. Poor woman! Whether it was her bio child or not, she loved her and brought her up, and suddenly, this interfering PITA turns up, tells her that her husband had been deceiving her and takes her baby away! I felt sorry for her. I know a dog called Isis, but she is a greyhound that looks like the Egyptian Goddess, not a fat lab!

Nessalina · 27/10/2014 20:07

I think one of the interchangeable suitors needs to have a radical hair cut a la Lady Mary so we can actually tell them apart!

runlikeagirl · 27/10/2014 20:18

How old is Marigold supposed to be? Surely a child wouldn't go like that? My dd is 2 and can barely stand dh to have her let alone anyone else.

I felt awful for the farmers wife.

Also, did people use word frumpy in 1920s?

KristinaM · 27/10/2014 21:50

DH says that one of Mary's identikit suitors is obviously A Bad Lot and can't be trusted because he jilted Samantha Stewart in Foyles War

He has a PhD y'know Wink

limitedperiodonly · 27/10/2014 21:59

One of Lady Mary's interchangeable swains was in a Diet Coke ad. Whichever one Julian Ovenden is. They were going a bit upmarket so he kept his clothes on. It was so dull it hasn't been recorded on YouTube. What is the point of a Diet Coke ad where the man doesn't take his shirt off?

Also, did people use word frumpy in 1920s?

Agree. The other one of Lady Mary's interchangeable swains was talking with Miss Lane Fox and one or other of them mentioned stalking, and not in the deer kind of way.

KristinaM · 27/10/2014 23:08

Yup that's the one - Julian Ovenden

boogiewoogie · 27/10/2014 23:30

Mrs Hughes and Carson are just so cute together! I hope she agrees! I'm really glad that Edith is making a life for herself, but I cried when she took her child off the Drewes.

If Bates didn't kill Green, then who did?

This Mary, Tony, Blake, Mabel love square is getting boring.

PlayingTheGameOfLife · 28/10/2014 07:32

How is Lady Edith going to cope with a big baby all of a sudden? No mention of anything practical, just ice cream! At least the landlord / guesthouse owner offered a cot.
Oh she's in for a shock!

LittleBearPad · 28/10/2014 08:22

She'll have funds for a nanny. They'll be ok.
