I really hope though that they focus more on Edith and less on Mary and her boring, all look the samey, suitors.

I do feel sorry for the actor playing Miss Bunting. Even by Downton standards it's such a one-note role.

Well that was another anticlimactic episode.

Why would Bates try to cure himself of being gay now? He's been the outest gay man in Britain for years. I wonder if his dad has given him an ultimatum.

Gargh Thomas not Bates.

Barrow, not Bates. Bates is married to Anna and is possibly a murderer (so we're not sure whether he's good or bad - he may have murdered his first wife, and then his second wife's rapist).

I think Barrow is still meant to be hung up on Blond Footman and to have decided life would be easier if he was straight.

That was a bit of a non-episode - funny how some story lines are resolved around 38 minutes in, and others go on for weeks and weeks. That teacher is just awful - actually found myself cheering on Lord G. Nothing endearing about her character at all - and as others have said, she only seems to be invited to dinner at the behest of other characters who want her there for nothing more than the entertainment value

Aargh that teacher is just so appalling!! And clearly JF thinks so too, giving her that name. He might as well have called her Sarah Butt-hole.

That was a great episode. Thought the Isobel and The Lord scene was touching.

And I hope Mary gets rid of the one she shagged, she doesn't like him. He honestly looks like he's going to blackmail her into marrying him!

Her and Tom love each other, but there's no romance.

I want Carson and Mrs Hughes to marry. And for the old Russian woman to be dead so that Violet married old Russian guy.

Edith is going to flip and move Marigold in and brass it out.

Did anyone else think the actor who plays Tony Gillingham wasn't the same man? Both DH and I said it at the same time.....
