Linda and Dean have enough going on without that storyline. Can't we have one happy couple? Can't we have a rapprochement with Shirley & Dean?
I don't like the message this is sending. It would be more thought provoking for him to attack Tosh (looking at sexual assaults gay women can be exposed to) and her get pregnant and struggle with her decision about the baby, although I'd rather no one get raped. By having him rape Linda I worry they are implying his overwhelming attraction to her gets the better of him and she is being punished for not telling Mick about the kiss. I'm sure they will handle her aftermath responsibly but I don't think it's necessary to do this.

Ben is as vile as ever although this actor looks more like the young Ben than the potato head did. Why would Jay stick by him still? He hated what he did to Heather? I don't buy it. He is a decent bloke and he's being rewritten here. Abi is treated like a spare part and the conversation about Lola was so disrespectful. She should chuck him.

Yes there are some disturbing connotations attached to the linda storyline. Why didn't she tell mick? Muck has only just meet Dean so it wasn't like it would break the family up. Ee are really making every man a bastards. Phil is a thug, alfie a racist loser, dean a rapist, jay a mugger, ian a keen crawler, been a murderer. I agree that they need to balance it all out with a few normal marriages and storylines.

I dont think Linda wanted to upset mick with the kiss I just dont think they need this story I just dont think Dean would do that it is sending out a terrible message that men cant control themse.lves if a woman doesn't recipricate the attraction.

It's going to be difficult viewing but I agree that they're likely to do it well, with the writing and acting. Just read in Inside Soap that it happens the week after next.

I can't stand Peggy but zi like that she popped up. It is more realistic if someone is having a wedding that distant family members would come back.

I saw Ben looking at Jonny. That is way too obvious, and very, only gay in the village. Which is crazy since they live in London.

I agree that Johnny could do better than Ben.

I found it a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting something better. Grant for example, not Babs who is rather like Zebedee the way she keeps bouncing back in.

Tbf Ben is a terrible character. I cant be doing with him just waltzing back in to the scene of the crime. Same with Ronnie kidnapp a baby for a year yet just come back pfft
