Oh I LOVE GBBO did anyone hear Chris Evans on his show on R2? He went into details so it looks like it's going to be followed on R2 as well.

I wonder whether Jo Brand'll be good she can be a little sarky for my liking. Someone bouncy like Zoe Ball would be better IMO but I spose we'll have to wait and see

HAPPY GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF DAY. Only eating cake for the next 12 hours in tribute. And maybe pastry too.

I wanted to apply this year, but selfish bastard of a best friend thought it would be a better idea to get married and have me as a bridesmaid instead, what a bitch

Anyway, beside myself excited that it's restarting tonight. Slightly worried that it may have gone a bit too big this year though

I will probably buy a cheap bake a delicious swiss roll to have while it's on.

Or get DS to make rice crispy cakes.

There's another thread about it BTW. Hollywood was interviewed on R2 this morning and was interesting about perfection which he reckons only shows in the simpler bakes I can't wait!!!

ahh I'm so excited. I have to have a small op tomorrow morning so I am looking forward to climbing into bed tomorrow afternoon and watching it on iplayer. perfect recovery programming

I considered applying this year too Wiener but seeing as I am a scarily identical match to Frances's entire profile, I didn't fancy my chances at making it past application form stage

Having just had a disappointing batch of cherry chocolate vegan brownies come out, (because there's no egg to bind them they just crumble. The binding agent in this recipe is ground flaxseed but it hasn't really worked) I'll be watching as I'm making a cherry & coconut cake tomorrow & I want suspended cherries! :)

Oh, an article lat week said that Extra Slice (the spin-off) was on immediately after the main show - but now it seems it's not until Friday. I WANT IT TONIGHT!!

Ooh strange the extra slice is on later in the week. Is that to give the public a chance to bake the cakes from the show and send in pictures? I'm so excited and have some white chocolate and strawberry cake to eat.
