Well- i feel for Halep- but she has had a great year.

Bouchard seems very, very focussed.

And you don't get many of the juniors actually going on to do well in the seniors.

I think she will take it saturday- she is showing no real nerves, and Kvitova can be hit and miss. Genie shows amazing maturity.

I have to go out- parents evening for ds's new secondary. I am not feeling great- I am hot and sweaty. I think it's my age.

what happened to Mardy Fish? Did he retire? I'm sure he was still in action a couple of years ago.

I hope tomorrow is good. With an eye to the final- I'm trying to work out the best combo for a decent Sunday. I'd like Fed and Grig, think Fed and Djok might be a tight one (especially as Djock is not playing his best, and Fed has stepped up).

I'm afraid, although he's a nice guy- and it would be a nice Canada friendly headline if he got to the final, I think Raonic could make for a dull spectacle. i might be wrong there, and he does have more of game than that.
