carol used to irritate the hell out of me but I like her now. she doesn't brood on things- she just goes and sorts it. she's ballsy.

Bianca tends to whinge. Carol keeps her counsel and goes out and sorts it.

I find it hard to believe that Mick would support Tina being with Tosh. I thought he wouldn't want his sister being controlled and hurt. He carried Nancy out of her wedding, punched Deano when he upset Shirley... I thought he would have warned Tosh off somehow.

yes they all seem to be ignoring the fact Tosh likes to throw a punch in Tina's direction.

Tosh really doesn't play hurt/upset very well. I kept expecting her to smirk!

I sooo wasn't expecting that duff-duff yet! I thought that'd be the Christmas reveal!

I'm really uncomfortable with the Tosh storyline. It seems to imply that if you work hard at it, you can have a successful relationship (not at the moment admittedly!) with an abuser. I think that's a really dangerous message to give out. Where are they going with it??

The money issue on EE always annoys me.

Last episode I saw (in Australia) Billy confessed to Ian that it was him who came forward with a new statement (how that lot don't get chastised for wasting police time the first time round, I have now idea).

Anyway, complaining to Ian that he was broke, yet offered to take Janet to McClunkies. The Butchers/Jackson never have an money, yet they often get takeaways.

Everyone at some poin t complains they have no money, yet they spend all their time eating takeaways & drinking ion the pub, or breakfast in the cafe.

The most laughable thing is though, is that they all work/play/socialise 2 feet from their houses, yet all buy takeaway coffee in the cafe!!

You'd think that the market lot would have flasks!

Tosh really doesn't play hurt/upset very well I don't think she can do it well, because she isn't supposed to be hurt etc? I find she is very passive aggressive & tends to act hurt when she actually isn't ... a big plan to make her seem more human to Tina.

Bianca's house is freehold isn't it? Didn't they inherit from Pat? So no rent and as a working SP Bianca must get some tax credits? Do any of the kids Dad's pay maintenance? Guess not?

I think they rent from Janine (or whoever owns it now) as Pat sold her the house due to previous money issues. They mentioned months ago, pre-trial, that Janine had let them pay late or something along those lines.

I don't think Mick would control Tina but it doesn't fit with his character to commiserate with Tina and encourage her to be in relationship with Tosh. He would say something about the violence and control. He's the type to say his piece.

I agree, but in the context of the relationships he has already been involved in (thumping his sister's son etc) it is hard to see how OK he is that his other sister is being hurt by a lover...
