I don't remember the Marcus Christie stuff but it was good to see Sharon back as she should be. Her character hasn't been quite right since she first came back as a runaway bride. Kick ass, big hair Sharon is more like it.

little intrigued how overtime of £460 = treatment at the baby clinic, ie ivf - average private ivf is £5/6k

blondes that whole storyline is pissing me off. it was the same when they did it in emmerdale. wheeling and dealing (drugs!) to get the money for fertility treatment. surely if you have to resort to selling drugs for the money then you cant afford to actually raise a child? the common sense option of, you know, saving over time never comes into it does it? they all decide to have a baby and suddenly need the money next week for the treatment.

I vaguely remember marcus Christie but don't remember the storlyline. I agree it was fab to see Sharon all Shazza'd up again like she used to look back in the day. glad to see that ratty hair tied up and looking glam and they eye make up on. blast from the past. hope she stays and I'm now 100% convinced EE writers are copying directly from these threads

even if you donated eggs etc, its still a few thousands, so how the hell will they afford ivf as often winge they cant afford food that week etc

Maybe it's artificial insemination rather than ivf. No soap has ever got an ivf storyline right. It gets right in my tits.

Each of our private ivf/icsi cycles was about 7 grand and the cost is much higher in London.

One half an hour consultation is £200 up here. In London I believe it's more than that. Then there are vaginal scans, they'll still have to take some drugs to regulate their cycle so it syncs in with the clinic and possibly progesterone after the insemination. Then follow up consultations. It's bollocks that they'd only need a few hundred.

Suppose it's dramatic licence but I do wish a soap would do a fertility treatment storyline fairly accurately one day.

if tv want to show a certain subject then they need to make sure facts are right, they said a while back they were doing ivf, so will also need sperm, which donor sperm is roughly £600, so least £5.5k for them
