Weirdly I only got into this last season. Watched one episode and got hooked! Fortunately E4 have been showing the earlier episodes so I'm catching up. I thought I'd hate it but it's so compelling. All they do is shag each other, cheat on each other, break up and gossip about each other. It's a fantastic soap opera and all the girls have amazing swishy hair!

Excited about the new series, anyone else?

But Fran always seems so insincere.

AlwaysOneMissing · 10/06/2014 17:53

Of course next week Lucy will make friends with Riley, because she has proven that Jamie likes her above anyone else! Jamie was a dick about that though. None of them have any loyalty to each other do they?!

I feel sorry for Cheska too. And Lucy. They've both been good friends to Binky and it counts for nothing now. I don't think anyone will look at Binky in quite the same again after this appalling behaviour.
I still blame Alex for turning her into this though, I can only imagine how that messes up your head, and she's obviously got low self esteem. Really interested to see what happens with Binkys mum next week.

I can't tell whether Spencer is pleased to have the sleaze-limelight off him for a bit; or whether he is feeling a bit sidelined and wants to start up some more bad behaviour to get some attention back!

squoosh · 10/06/2014 18:00

Seeing Stevie with Stephanie (who I have only just realised is the sister of that Spencer guy of Heidi and Spencer fame. Ugh) reminds me of the 80's film Weird Science where the two geeky boys create their ideal woman on their computer.

He just looks like a 16 year old boy with a 36 year old woman.

Singlesuzie · 10/06/2014 18:00

dont feel sorry for lucy WRT the binky situation. Lucy was shit stirring and was loving it. And also with the comments about binky not getting in touch with her. That was just an unnecessary pop. I really do think lucy has some sort of bullying behaviours but (just about) makes it look like she is bein a good friend. She plays the wide eyed "i cant believe you're upset" card when she knows exactly what reaction she would get. And yes she will make friends with riley because she has 'won' and can lord it over her. Why riley would want to be friends with her, she is unbelievably rude.

Singlesuzie · 10/06/2014 18:04

I think spencer is relieved to have the spotlight taken off him for a bit.

What age is stephanie? Agree she looks a lot older.

Sam is very cringey isnt he? Heart on sleeve there Grin

AlwaysOneMissing · 10/06/2014 19:29

I must admit that Lucy can be catty to other girls when she doesn't get her own way. But I think she's pretty genuine and I think she had a pop at Binky because she was frustrated that she was obviously going to go back to Alex.

I suppose Stephanie does look older than the others; I hadn't noticed before! I don't know how old she is.

Scarletohello · 10/06/2014 19:34

I feel really ambivalent about Lucy. Sometimes she is horrifically rude and bitchy.. But she is very loyal to her friends and doesn't take shit from guys. I think she'd be a great friend to have but woe betide if you got on the wrong side of her. ( actually find her a bit scary tbh but sometimes am in awe of how straight talkin she is )

OP posts:
Singlesuzie · 10/06/2014 19:41

Yes she is very straight talking and would be great friend to have on your side but i do think she uses her 'straight talking' reputation to actually be nasty. As in she says something hurtful, even to friends and then will pass it off as 'just saying it how it is'

I think both her an jamie have been very cruel to riley, her deliberately to hurt her, and jamie out of selfishness so he could have his cake and eat it.

AlwaysOneMissing · 10/06/2014 20:22

Yes you are right suzie about Riley. She is such a sweet girl, she didn't deserve to be messed around by both of them. And Lucy was out of order in the way she treated her. Jamie used her for sex too just because he could.

Scarletohello · 10/06/2014 20:25

Yes Riley seems to be a sweet girl but tbh I list a bit of sympathy for her when I saw her house with both an indoor swimming pool and a maid! Sometimes it's easy to forget that these young people are multi millionaires just by privilege of birth...

Grin

I'm poor as a church mouse (is that the right type of mouse?) but i still felt sympathy for Riley. Regardless of her wealth i don't think anyone deserves to be a tug of war toy for those two. I would have a lot of respect for her if rather than submissively accept Lucy's offer of the privilege of her 'friendship' (not real friendship) she rolled her eyes and walked away. We know she wont though.

AppleYumYum · 10/06/2014 23:41

What is with Louise and those bloody ribbon chokers?

NickiFury · 11/06/2014 07:35

Just watching while on my cross trainer Wink

Louise: " if you want give Alex a um, er, third chance, that's up to you"

I liked how she couldn't actually remember how many chances it is Grin

Alex will soon get tired of The Rules and rebel big time, it's just how he's made, even without them he would still go off. I anticipate this will happen sooner rather than later.

PeanutPatty · 11/06/2014 08:37

The look on Spenny's face when he said to Lego "oh so you're allowed to drink tonight?" Was brilliant. MrPP loved Spenny this week because he such a wind up merchant.

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2014 08:45

Hahaha at third chance. So funny.

Binky, Binky tsk you're being spoilt by your friends that you demand support you. Wasn't keen on that hair roll at the end, but she still looks great.

Glad Riley just walked off. She was dumping Jamie and they were pretty much blanking her out. He'll want her back when he's got Lucy.

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2014 08:47

Spenny is funny atm. The can't remember line and love you. No of them can respond. Although he probably did tell everyone about Jamie.

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2014 08:48

Oh and Sam making some dig about 'Watson', he's such a tool.

slalomsuki · 11/06/2014 09:29

Just turned on channel 5 and Andy is on the Wright Stuff this morning

Yes he was very funny- really enjoying the opportunity ti hi-light someone else's fuck up! Grin at least it gives him a focus other than lying to lots of women!

NickiFury · 11/06/2014 10:05

I seem to remember a Louise and Spencer having similar "rules" regarding alcohol consumption when they were together as it was causing problems between them. They broke up about two weeks later and I rather think will see the same with the Binky and Alex.

Alcohol far more important than "relationships" in MIC.

AuntieMaggie · 11/06/2014 12:15

It's not just the rules Binky has put in place it's the way she puts him down in front of others, calls him names and says she wants to hurt him that is not healthy. Lucy was right when she said something about if you forgive then you have to move on when talking about it with fran and Co.

I do feel a bit sorry for lucy with the Jamie thing and the way he won her over at Xmas with the grand gesture then 2 secs later was hooking up with other girls. I think she is completely hooked on him but is torn because of his behaviour.

NickiFury · 11/06/2014 12:59

I think she's mad about him too but won't get back into it, only to be made a fool of again, Spencer did it to her then Jamie. And I don't blame her one bit. I think is another Spencer/Caggie situation, she won't because she knows he will mess her around, he can't get over her because he can't get what he wants. Go Lucy I say.

Singlesuzie · 11/06/2014 13:08

I agree with that nicki. Lucy needs to stay away from Jamie. He wants her to satisfy his desire to have her but he doesnt want to be with her in a relationship.

Twinklestein · 14/06/2014 11:37

Cheska's only real occupation is to try to break up other people's relationships. This must be the third?

She tried to break up Richard and Kimberly because she had fancied Richard herself. Her attempts to bill it as 'concern' for Richard were embarrassing.

She was actually thrown out of a party of Richard's about a year or so ago for shouting and screaming when Kimberly turned up.

She's just unhappy, single & insecure & I wish they'd replace her.

Lucy, has an edge to her, can be a bitch, but I don't doubt that her stance on loverat is purely based on friendship with Binky. I would have given Binky exactly the same advice.

NickiFury · 14/06/2014 12:31

Cheska isn't single. I heard an interview with her on the radio a couple of months ago, she just won't have her relationship on the show, sensible I would say. Also from what she said, she was actually the one that come up with the idea because she had contacts from working in television before MIC ever happened.
