I'm surprised that teenage girls are so exercised about Daryl. I'm sure I wouldn't have been interested in him when I was a teenager. That's really nasty.

In fact I don't think I'd be interested in the show because there isn't a 17-25 year old man in it. Everyone would be too old or too young to be of interest.

I might have said on one of these threads, but definitely somewhere, that at 17 I remember Bob Marley dying at 36 and shrugging because it was old.

I also felt Elvis was old at 42 and Steve McQueen was fucking ancient at 50.

Norman Reedus acts really young (sticking his tongue out, flipping off cameras, etc) and his last girlfriend was 20 so I feel like they're letting his personality and attitudes bleed into Daryl a bit, which is annoying. Picture season 1 Daryl and Beth. Seriously??

Ugh I just want spoilers already, I can't take this! Why is there not a "terrified" face for me to put here?!

I thought daryll was younger! And was surprised when I learned he was 45

Lots of really good points here. This is why I love WD, never mind the zombies, the characters get under your skin.

I'll be disappointed after all the buildup between Carol and Daryl, the writers decide to pair him with Beth. It's a cop out. I agree with all of Cheerful's points. It's not an age gap thing. There is an obvious age gap between Bob and Sasha and that doesn't bother me. It's just as mentioned before, Beth has been portrayed as one of the Children and one episode of her wanting to get drunk doesnt suddenly make her into her Sister iyswim.

I don't necessary think Daryl will be paired with anyone, its nice watching him become softer when around Carol and now Beth. IMO Beth is a good foil for the tougher characters, in the same way Tyrese is. Not everyone can be a Rick or Michonne (though obviously if there is a zombie apocalypse then I will be ).

I'm going to have to hide this thread, there is no way I'm going to be able to wait till DH is home on Friday to watch. I may have to watch secretly and pretend I haven't

I've also downloaded WWZ on my kindle too, it should help alleviate the WD withdrawal after this week!

And I'm sorry but Norman Reedus's recent irritation with everyone over the Daryl's relationships and "it's not about erections"? I'm surprised that there's not MORE sex going on...human nature in extreme situations, IMO.

I mean, if I were Carol, slim chance of pregnancy, guaranteed years since I've had good sex given what a bastard Ed was, and single during the zombie apocalypse?! I'd be riding someone like a rented mule and you can take that to the bank. :o

I am planning how to fill my time between the finale and the new series. Any movie or book recommendations? I've read World War Z - great but it has been said unfilmable. The movie is ok. But can't live up to the book.

To anyone who likes a lot of info on TWD - I liked Andrew Lincoln's page on Facebook and get links to interviews etc. The latest ones included promos for the finale from New Zealand and other countries. They showed more than promos I have seen but with no spoilers. And it looks good.

Oooh I've got it all ready to watch - it's 5pm here and I'm trying to think what's the earliest I can feasibly bundle the 1 and 3 year old off to bed.

Thanks to whomever reminded me of WWZ on this thread I didn't see it when it came out and watched it last night and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would given the controversy that surrounded it. No way I could survive fast zombies though.

Today is going to be so hard - am already sitting on my hands to stop myself going onto the US forums to see what happened.

Have developed my own little theory (the actress who plays Michonne did an interview where she said all the speculation was completely wrong, so I'm thinking of more off the wall options), so can't wait to see what happens.
