Tried to post on old thread and it's at 1000 :)

Gawd we can woffle Grin

Just watched last nights and why has Jane come back?

Why is no one mentioning that Cindy is 15 an therefore tech rape?

Strange that carls mum suddenly decides to come go the square - just as mitchell sisters are back

And still Amy is silent !!!! Wink

Haven't watched Enders in ages. Wtf was the thing with the dog?!

Poor Peter!!!

baldisbeautiful · 22/04/2014 20:04

That was really welldone tonight.

confuddledDOTcom · 22/04/2014 20:05

I never understand how they work around not telling anyone until the last minute - how much do the actors know of their scripts or are they doing them daily?

QueenFuri · 22/04/2014 20:05

The last bit with Peter was heartbreaking I cried like a big baby. I liked it with bits with puppies. These episodes are brilliant , shame the next one isn't on until Thursday.

devoniandarling · 22/04/2014 20:06

new to this thread but wanna join in. Haven't watched alot of Eastenders recently but my god! Sat here in floods of tears. Poor Ian! I have no idea who did it but I'm sad to see Lucy go, she was such a mysterious, interesting character.

SilveryMoon · 22/04/2014 20:14

I didn't like Lucy at all. Thought she was a bit pointless, but no doubt some stuff is coming out about her character.
Really good episode. I thought the street light flickering was a good touch as it was doing that when Lucy left the Square.
I was in tears the whole way through that episode, there's just nothing worse is there

VashtaNerada · 22/04/2014 20:16

That was really sad Sad Had to turn over to Gavin & Stacey to stop myself from waking up the children and sobbing at them.

Figster · 22/04/2014 20:49

I didn't cry until the very end there was something heartbreaking about Ian leading him out of the pub by his hand like he was a small boy.

BadRoly · 22/04/2014 20:51

Same here Figster, I was fine right up until the Queen Vic went silent.

SnakeyMcBadass · 22/04/2014 20:54

Yes, same here Figster. The way he took Peter's hand, and Peter let him....

I think this storyline has been really well filmed. Very sad. Peters acting was v good.

Billoddiesbeard · 22/04/2014 21:35

A bit behind as recorded it for when I got in this evening....OMG some excellent acting from Adam Woodyatt and the lad who plays Peter. Really well filmed and believable

qazxc · 22/04/2014 21:52

Is Denise looking shifty because she is thinking "Damn it, I can't dump him now or I'll look like an heartless arsewipe."
I get an awful feeling it might come out anyway as Shabnam will probably spill the beans, either by accident or to get Ian and Jane back together (and Jane away from her dad).

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 22/04/2014 22:10

Isn't the whodunit only going to be solved next Feb when it is the 30th anniversary of EE. Can't help thinking Nick Cotton is involved somewhere (wasn't he in the first scene of the first episode of EE.....)

Fakebook · 22/04/2014 22:33

Just watched it on iplayer. Haven't cried at a TV programme since watching the GBBO final whilst pregnant last year (Stupid pregnancy hormones!). This episode was filmed brilliantly again. Poor Peter. The wailing was completely believable and not ott or melodramatic. Well done Eastenders actors.

Phil sucking the pup's mouth made me sick and laugh because it looked like a stuffed toy....probably was.

SilveryMoon · 22/04/2014 22:35

Yes, but hilarious when he then kissed Sharon. Hope he had a little rinse round

DillydollyRIP · 22/04/2014 22:42

The ending of EE tonight had me in tears Blush and I hardly ever cry at anything!
Great acting there.

jaynebxl · 22/04/2014 22:46

Haha I thought that too ... Sharon wouldn't be smiling at Phil kissing her if she knew what he had been doing!
And does anyone reckon Phil and Shirl will get back together?

BeeKayP · 22/04/2014 22:58

Haven't cried like that at a tv show in a long time!! It made me want to call up my brother haha.
I'm guessing there is a new director? Been some amazing directing over the last few weeks. Ben Hardy (Peter) really took me by surprise. I never thought he was a great actor but really did well tonight.

TwllBach · 22/04/2014 23:04

I didn't think I would be that moved by this, I didn't like Lucy and find Ian irritating... But tears were running down my face Sad

Peter at the end was just beautifully done, and I loved how Ian had that little exchange with the FLO about his nan and the bus. I also really liked how they shot the vic as really gaudy and over the top as a contrast.

SabsFabulous · 22/04/2014 23:13

Just watched it now. The ending was heart breaking Sad The actor who plays Peter was really good.

TheZeeTeam · 22/04/2014 23:20

It made me want to call my brothers and sister too! Got to hand it to Adam Woodyat (is that his name?!), he's acting his socks off. And another one to literally, and unashamedly, sob when he told Peter.

What is with the backstreet breeding of bulldogs storyline though?! With 5 puppies, without a c/section, Princess would have probably died as well as all the puppies! I get that they were trying to cut between happy and sad, but it was stupidly unrealistic.

Actually, it's Eastenders. I'm overthinking now, aren't I?! Grin

BeCool · 22/04/2014 23:32

Phil and Shirley will defo get back together. Wink

AGnu · 22/04/2014 23:32

That was such a good episode! It does make me want to stop watching though. I sometimes have problems separating fantasy & reality & it just feels a bit wrong for their grief to be 'entertainment'! Confused

I've voted for Adam Woodyatt in the soap awards purely because I knew he'd do this storyline well! I was a bit dubious about how Peter would react - I was imagining he'd just stare gormlessly & maybe sit down heavily while everyone else freaked out. His acting was much better than expected!

The bit where Ian was telling Bobby & Cindy got to me. Just hearing them wailing while watching Denise feeling trapped in the kitchen was really well done! I did half expect Denise to leg it & turn up at Shabnam's begging her to tell her what to do/not to say anything.

My best guess is that the bump she had while arguing with Max caused some kind of brain injury & while out waiting to meet her dealer "I take cocaine to block out the last thoughtless thing you said" she bumped into Nick Cotton & started demanding to know why he let Dot think he's dead. He's in witness protection & is only in the area to meet up with his 'handler' - 'Charlie', who's posing as his son because the only way he'd agree to fake his death was if someone would look after his Ma - Nick tries to get her to keep quiet about seeing him & gets a bit rough, she falls over & dislodges a clot or ruptures something already damaged by the first bump. Nick grabs her phone/wallet & scarpers to allow himself a bit more time bit thinks she's just unconscious. Nick comes back around Christmas time, having helped put the baddies away & cleaned himself up. He twigs that he's responsible & eventually hands himself in. Dot's devastated but oh so proud of him for doing the right thing, no current regulars have to leave. All tied up in a neat little bow! Grin
