Tried to post on old thread and it's at 1000 :)

Gawd we can woffle Grin

Just watched last nights and why has Jane come back?

Why is no one mentioning that Cindy is 15 an therefore tech rape?

Strange that carls mum suddenly decides to come go the square - just as mitchell sisters are back

And still Amy is silent !!!! Wink

Wow Agnu. You've really thought this through!! Grin

Harrin · 23/04/2014 00:19

I loved tonight's episode too.

When Ian was sat on his bed there was a view of the hallway. It looked as though there was another set of stairs to the loft. Did anyone else notice this? If they all have loft conversions in Albert Square that explains some of the sleeping arrangements!

Coumarin · 23/04/2014 01:57

Just finished watching... Sad

Bloody hell.

GarlicAprilShowers · 23/04/2014 02:37

AGnu, that was BRILLIANT and highly credible! (In soapland, obvs.)

What a powerful episode. They're pulling all the stops out in the right order, aren't they? I loved the juxtaposition of birth & death, complete with near-death (puppy), life-to-be (Alfie rubbing Kat's bump), and rebirth (Shirley & Phil). Proper drama, classical Greek style Grin

I honestly don't believe any thrice-weekly soap can keep up this level of nuance for nine months, but won't it be great if they do!

I felt such a lot for Denise, because something similar happened to me. I was about to break off my engagement to XH2 when his dad died. Impossible conflict of emotions ... I made the wrong choice. I assume Denise will make the right one, as Ian has to get back together with Jane, shafting Masood once again

GarlicAprilShowers · 23/04/2014 02:56

Stairs :) Bizarrely, none of the houses have dormer windows. Do they keep their variable number of extra residents in darkened lofts?

The loft was done when Rebecca was in it - sonjas daughter - years ago

They said about it as was only a 2 bed house - and 3rd bedroom
Was the now living room - where Pauline's mum slept and then mark

Theirs seems to be the only 2 bedroom - before exstension - others meant to be 3 bedroom tho again they seem to enlarge - Max's house was always 3 - girls had bedroom each and max/Tanya. Then Oscar appeared an suddenly he had a room as well

All houses grow Hmm Said before years ago Pauline's kitchen was tiny and now Ian's is huge

Havnt seen tonight's yet as working. Will watch and possibly sob after I've slept

Poor Denise is now trapped

I thought Ian and Peters scene was very well done. Excellent acting.

jaynebxl · 23/04/2014 07:04

2 bedrooms?? I assumed they were all at least 3. In fact they're similar downstairs to a 4 bed house we lived in when I was a kid so I've always assumed these were the same.

That's a link to an interview of the characters and director about yesterday's episode. Just came across it on fb. Interesting how they filmed the mortuary scene!

Southeastdweller · 23/04/2014 08:11

Another one who was sobbing watching the episode. Ben Hardy as Peter surprised me with the power of his acting at the end. Adam Woodyatt was also great as usual.

Poor Ian and poor Peter - so well done.

I felt sorry for Denise - putting the coats away in the kitchen while Ian and Jane told the children. I think she will put off telling Ian now, but she has made the biggest mistake in telling Shabnam of her plans - as we know she can't be trusted to keep a secret.

I'm laughing at the expanding houses - so true! Grin

OwlCapone · 23/04/2014 09:56

When it was the Fowler's house, Michelle used to sleep in some kind of alcove off her parents room didn't she? You wouldn't see a dormer if it was at the back of the house - you never see the rear of the properties.

GarlicAprilShowers · 23/04/2014 12:45

That's great, Sinister! Thanks!

Mandy2003 · 24/04/2014 20:01

Aaargh! DS made a noise right at the end - what did Ian say on the phone?? Who do you think he rang?

Fakebook · 24/04/2014 20:01

Oooh, Ian's hiding something!

Fakebook · 24/04/2014 20:02

Mandy, he's phoned someone to take Cindy.

qazxc · 24/04/2014 20:03

I thought he was onto to Cindy's grandmother for her to come and pick her up.

GarlicAprilShowers · 24/04/2014 21:12

God, I HATE Ian at the moment! I mean, he's never been a nice bloke and I should have anticipated his reactions ... obstructing the police for the sake of appearances, taking everyone for granted, abusing a child. True to form AngryGot to say they were right about Woodyatt's acting, though. When he phoned about Cindy he looked utterly, utterly cold.

How irritating that Jane's still beautiful with eye bags and no makeup!

TwllBach · 24/04/2014 21:26

Could it be David wicks he called? Did he and cindy mark one not have some sort of involvement?

I though Jacqueline jossa was really good then.

jaynebxl · 24/04/2014 22:04

Good point about David Wickes. He isn't Cindys dad is he? Who is her dad?

Fakebook · 24/04/2014 22:10

But David has nothing to do with Cindy. It looks like Ian wants her far away as possible so has probably called the grandmother to come and take her. Doesn't she live in Portugal or something?

I'm guessing Ian spent that night with Jane, that's why he's being secretive.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/04/2014 23:07

Cindys dad is an Italian businessman - hence her dark hair and eyebrows

As fowler house only has 3 bedrooms - 2 and loft conversion where do they all sleep

  1. Ian and Denise
  2. Lucy's bedroom

And loft conversion must have Bobbie and peter - fair enough brothers share

But where does Cindy sleep?
