Tried to post on old thread and it's at 1000 :)

Gawd we can woffle Grin

Just watched last nights and why has Jane come back?

Why is no one mentioning that Cindy is 15 an therefore tech rape?

Strange that carls mum suddenly decides to come go the square - just as mitchell sisters are back

And still Amy is silent !!!! Wink

Right having read the thread I'm going to have a guess at Nick Cotton. Putting it out there. He's still alive isn't he? He's a drug user, probably dealer, Lucy said she took coke to block out what her Dad says to her and she was in a state. Maybe the text/email was offering to give her more and asking to meet her.

I can't for the life of me think of a motive for out right murder though.

Oh I'm doubting it now.

GarlicAprilShowers · 19/04/2014 03:06

Oh, oh, I've just read the BBC EE blog:

The huge storyline has been ingeniously plotted so that it isn’t a typical whodunit, but rooted in truth - raw, emotional and gritty. No one knows exactly what happened to Lucy on the night she died, except very few people - even the person responsible for her death.

Ian will start to question how well he really knew his daughter, as secrets spill out after her death. But one Walford resident has a very dark secret about what really happened the night Lucy died - and viewers will be left guessing for the rest of the year... What killed Lucy Beale?

It's going to have something to do with massive promiscuity, drugs & anorexia, isn't it? And dodgy finances. Poor Lucy being killed by her desperate need for approval. But however well they do it, I can't imagine still being intrigued in 10 months' time ... c'mon, Stenders, impress me Wink

The Mirror's done a great little video compilation of East Enders' murders: here. Worth it for the long-gone characters and a young Phil & Ian!

differentnameforthis · 19/04/2014 06:42

if Janine then decided she DIDN'T get stabbed by Stacey then that is perjury. No it isn't, as it never went to court.

Laura's son? Had vague memoirs of being another blokes baby but Ian raises it Laura was seeing (or was she, can't remember if they were seeing each otehr or just shagging) what his face at the time she got pregnant (Lyn Slater's other half....) and passed him off as his for a while. Then it all came out after her death, I believe...

jaynebxl · 19/04/2014 06:49

Could be Nick if he was her dealer then she told him she was kicking the habit cos she was turning her life around and he wasn't happy about losing a customer.

jaynebxl · 19/04/2014 06:50

And on the subject of Stacey dp we lmow hpw long a sentence she got?

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 07:54

Def must be mistaken identity as keep wearing matching /work uniform now

I don think it's mistaken identity. That doesn't fit with the text/email. Also, it was late at night due to an apparent time slip where most of the day vanished in a puff of smoke so Lauren was in party gear. And she has dark hair and is about twice the size of Lucy.

QueenFuri · 19/04/2014 07:57

I thought it was great and have no idea who it could be.

I read when we find out in February it will be done in a flashback so we see how she died and who was involved.

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 07:59

I don't think there are many characters capable of outright murder. I don't even think Phil would deliberately kill Lucy.

Ronnie is clearly bonkers but I can't see a motive yet
Max could probably have done it in anger
Danny is a possibility
Jake is flakey
Nick Cotton - why have they resurrected him? Did Lucy discover IMO squatting at one of hype flats she's trying to rent out and he killed her and dumped her in the woods?
Did she just die from the head injury she got in Max's office and whoever she was with just panicked?
Can we rule out some of the people who left voicemails?

Fakebook · 19/04/2014 08:07

We need a big brainstorm of characters and motives!

differentnameforthis · 19/04/2014 08:10

Lucy aborted because Ian forced her to..I don't think Jane holds that against her.

VashtaNerada · 19/04/2014 08:13

I vote for Nick Cotton. Dot's quite prominent in the teaser advert, and it would fit in with his 'funeral' and the undertaker moving to the square.

FantaSea · 19/04/2014 09:12

Could it be Denise? Lucy has the letter from Poppy and knows that Denise kissed Fatz and I think Lucy told Denise that she wouldn't tell Ian even though Ian knows she kissed someone. The story Denise gave Libby about ending it with Ian 'tomorrow' could be a cover-up? Also, Denise is no stranger to murder - Lucas was a murderer and tried to kill her after all.

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 09:25

Denise did remove her engagement ring though so her decision to break up seems genuine. Although she won't be able to tell him "tomorrow" as they will have found Lucy. I think the significance of her decision is that she'll be stuck with Ian, unable to break it off.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2014 09:26

Seems weird the undertaker has moved into the square esp after the nick
Business

Who so obviously isn't dead but why go to that trouble. Funerals and coffins aren't cheap so why did dots grandson (if it is him) do it?

OP posts:
OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 09:29

I think Nick killed someone and the body has been mis identified as his and cremated as him.

FantaSea · 19/04/2014 09:32

Owl yes, I had forgotten about Denise removing her ring. She is now stuck with Ian as she can't tell him.

Blondes I am liking the undertaker and his wife as characters but am wondering why they are there - surely there is not that much business in Walford?

What is really bothering me though is that Walford is supposed to be in east London E21? We used to live near that area when we were first married and I don't recall any 'woodlands' around there, it is all flats and concrete. There are a few small green parks with playground areas for children, but no woodlands Hmm

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 09:35

I think I saw it described as "Walford Common" in an interview.

SilveryMoon · 19/04/2014 09:36

Denise isn't in the funeral photos though is she?
I don' think it'll be Nick Cotton, I don't think people will care enough about that, or any of the newbies. It has to be someone big, special, surely. Like Dot or Ian.
Who haven't we even thought about? Tamwar? Alfie? Bobby - Poor little sod should get some screen time. I don't think Cindy, too obvious.

VashtaNerada · 19/04/2014 09:56

Bobby being the killer is as likely as Darren fathering Heather's baby Grin

jaynebxl · 19/04/2014 09:59

Walford was supposed to be E20 wasn't it? Hence the spin off with that name. And if I remember rightly E20 didn't actually exist until they started using it for the Olympic park. And I'm sure Walford has never had a common before.

DieselSpillages · 19/04/2014 10:20

Lucy went off looking for Peter after Ian's insensitive comments. Maybe she met her brother, they fought and he accidently killed her (after previous fall at car lot triggered hemorrhage). He then freaked and left her on the common ?

It'd suit EE's style to have one twin do in the other.

DieselSpillages · 19/04/2014 10:30

cocaine use makes it more likely that you'll die from a haemorrage..
