Does anyone else watch it? Or is it just me...

I love it because it reminds me of another life when I used to sew (before the DC's came along and before I lost the footpedal to my sewing machine in a house move).

The contestants are just so talented and I like the beardy man judge too. Anyone else?

How lovely! She really deserved that!

OwlCapone · 08/04/2014 21:00

Tamara threw it away in that last challenge.

Roussette · 08/04/2014 21:00

Oh I have loved this series! Now have to go off and find something else to do on a Tuesday night! Thanks all for the great chat Smile

Over the whole series I think Chinelo has done better work but Heather won it with her final dress. Well deserved.

MissYamabuki · 08/04/2014 21:11

Yep for me Chinelo has been.consistently at or.near the.top the whole series, producing good finish, wearable, original, often stunning clothes. Agree with other posters that Patrick didn't really get her style though. Congratulations to Heather but I am disappointed and surprised Chinelo didn't win.

WetAugust · 08/04/2014 21:13

Right result!

iklboo · 08/04/2014 21:24

Chains & whips? I always thought Heather might be a secret swinger / fetish ball fan Grin

Well deserved. Tamara's dress looked poor in the end & glueing the flowers on a couture dress was a big mistake.

difficultpickle · 08/04/2014 21:26

I think Chinelo didn't win as she's shown before (as well as tonight) that she struggles to follow a pattern. Heather's dress was the only truly 'couture' dress out of the three.

GemmaTeller · 08/04/2014 21:29

I so wanted Chinelo to win, all her dresses have been fab.

As soon as I saw the back of Heathers dress I knew she'd win it.

I think Chinelo lacked the technical skills. She's not been sewing that long compared to the others. Heathers finish was usually better.

I don't blame Chinelo for retweeting those comments, would any of us refuse to do so in her position? I do think she will go far, because to have achieved what she has with so little experience of serious sewing is absolutely fantastic, and she has clearly got a natural flair for design.

coffeeinbed · 09/04/2014 07:34

I would refuse, nennypops.
Losing is one thing, being a bad loser another.

Roussette · 09/04/2014 07:46

Not being on Twitter myself, I have no idea, but it does seem a bit bad loser. Agree with tiggytape Chinelo has huge natural flair that she will build on (at the end of the programme, it send she was starting her own clothing range?) but she can't follow a pattern! She was lost with the tie totally. I think Heather was the all rounder the programme were looking for.

I follow Chinelo on twitter - she has re-tweeted ALL messages whether they said she was 'robbed', 'well done', 'great show' or 'can you make me a dress'.

OwlCapone · 09/04/2014 09:23

Do the other contestants follow her on twitter? If so, it could just be banter.

Is Patrick in the haberdashery during that hour...?

frenchfancy · 09/04/2014 11:13

I think Heather was a worthy winner. She was the most consistent throughout the series. Chinelo may well have more flare and style, but she is not a better seamstress, as was proved by the tie challenge. Heather's final dress was brilliant. Whilst I liked Chinelo's style, the sewing was not as good (it was pulling at the seams). I thought Tamara has lost the competition when I saw the design for her dress, I knew it for certain when the glue gun can out.

Did you see on Heather's blog about the fitting of the dress she made last week? Apparently the reason it didn't fit at the back was because the lining was caught up in the zip when she put it on.

OwlCapone · 09/04/2014 11:16

I think it was similar last year - Ann was by far the most technically gifted sewer but others had more design flair. If you teamed them up, you would have fantastic garments.
