There's a new series of One Born Every Minute starting 24th February.

I was heavily pregnant last time it was on so I'm looking forward to watching knowing I don't have to give birth this time!

Evacuation Shock Just what you need when you're in labour!

TheScience · 24/02/2014 21:32

Oh dear, fire alarm during labour Shock

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 24/02/2014 21:33

My NDN is a midwife. It's nice knowing she's there if I need a quick panic or want to check something, but I would not want her with me in labour.

RandyTramp · 24/02/2014 21:33

That poor dad has been completely sidelined by the sister and mate.

Oh shit, fire alarms though!

crashbangboom · 24/02/2014 21:33

Love obem. Raises the question of dc3 every series!

Wouldn't want to evacuate though blimey!

littlemisssarcastic · 24/02/2014 21:34

I was thinking the same thing Alpaca. The midwife looks mildly uncomfortable even though she offered and seemed eager at first.

Am glued to my seat now wondering if fire alarm is a drill or not.

Jellykat · 24/02/2014 21:35

My midwife for DS2, was my best friend and birthing partner, she wasn't on duty at the time, but they left us to it.. Aw it was brilliant!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 24/02/2014 21:35

I thought both midwife and NDN looked unsure. Midwife as she offered and NDN as she accepted. I wouldn't want someone I knew so well as my MW; I'd be worried they were judging me.

AlpacaYourThings · 24/02/2014 21:36

It would just be so awkward.

What would they do if the mother was crowning?!

AlpacaYourThings · 24/02/2014 21:39

littlemisssarcastic it was probably one if those, "sounded like a good idea in her head" moments!

Littlebean13 · 24/02/2014 21:42

Bless the dad getting so upset, it made me cry!

littlemisssarcastic · 24/02/2014 21:42

yes, you're probably right. Smile

BeingAGrownupSucks · 24/02/2014 21:43

What a lovely guy. He looks so scared for her.

littlemisssarcastic · 24/02/2014 21:44

Feel sad for the auntie. Sad What a bittersweet experience for her. Sad

AlpacaYourThings · 24/02/2014 21:46

That looked like such an easy labour, she didn't even break a sweat! Shock

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 24/02/2014 21:48

I want a labour like that! Did she actually only push twice or was that just well edited?

VivaLeBeaver · 24/02/2014 21:51

He's going to miss it if he's 30 mins away!

moocowmrs · 24/02/2014 21:51

Ohh hope he makes it in.time.

selsigfach · 24/02/2014 21:52

Oh I howled watching the second couple! Very brave of her sister to go in, watching my sister give birth while I'm struggling to conceive would break my heart.

And yes, fuck off with your cars!

StrawberryCheese · 24/02/2014 21:53

DH leaves the room whilst I watch this Grin we don't have kids yet and the screaming ladies terrify him!

I can't believe the sis of that bump Shock

StrawberryCheese · 24/02/2014 21:54

Sis = size

VivaLeBeaver · 24/02/2014 21:54

Dh has just walked muttering its disgusting!

AlpacaYourThings · 24/02/2014 21:55

I would love that BABY!

I don't think I would want my sister in the room, didn't look like the DP had much involvement!

StrawberryCheese · 24/02/2014 21:55

Haha Viva. Mine looked a bit peaky when he came in to make a cup of tea.

TheScience · 24/02/2014 21:55

I think I have a bump the size of Michelle's! I'm a bit scared about how big the baby will be...
