Yes I thought those kids were totally creepy. Good little actress though, the eldest one, to pull off the creepiness.
Re the storyline going back to the comics, and waiting until they had enough budget to move out of the farm... does this suggest that they haven't really worked out the storylines for each series, and just sort of write them reactively, depending on what people want? I really hope not, I do worry that it will go the way of 'Lost' and 'Homeland' - starting out with a great concept but just milking it on forever.
WRT the prison - yes, surely they could work on reclaiming it, they did it once, they could do it again. But I'm not sure I'd want to live there, it was pretty grim (and also how the hell were there still parts of the prison that had walkers roaming about in it, presumably weeks after they'd moved in - wouldn't they have cleared the whole place out as a first priority?!)
Far better to take a nice big house (like Hershel's farm), then build some massive defences around it. I cannot understand why, after 18 months, people are still living in tents with a bit of barbed wire around them when there are plenty of good houses to be had.
But even better to walk to the coast and take an island, or a cruise ship like someone suggested.
In the event of a Zombie apocalypse, I bagsy the Isle of Mull. I invite all of you with your compasses and clipboards, and we'll recruit some good fishermen types to come and join us!
